Manekin — Restaurant in Gdynia

We tried to eat breakfast at Manekin yesterday (08.07), but unfortunately, we had to choose a different place after all the trouble we experienced. We tried to order an omelet, but there was no salad. We tried to order pancakes, but there were no ingredients, and they also lacked ingredients for baked potatoes. Manekin had problems with food delivery but didn't inform us about it before we chose our food. Of course, this can happen at any place, but what shocked us the most was that we were still expected to PAY THE SAME price for a dish, even though it didn't have half of the ingredients. When we tried to find a solution and asked what we could substitute those ingredients with, we were informed that changes were not possible—we would have to order extra ingredients on the side (and pay extra). The rude waitress wasn't willing to help us figure out solutions and didn't inform us about which dishes they could make. After I WAS REFUSED the option to order cheese for a baked potato (even though half of the dish was unavailable since they didn't have any greens and they did have cheese), we decided to go somewhere else. Not recommended...

Unpleasant service. Despite the fact that the restaurant has a lot of empty space, we were not allowed to sit at a nice table, with soft sofa next to a beautiful design, but we were made to sit very close next to another couple at the wall, at a small unocomfortable table near the dirty mirrors. This is unacceptable to me at the time of Covid to be forced to sit so close to other people despite the restaurant is almost empty. It was strange that next customers were allowed to sit at better tables. Also, the waitress couldn't say a word in English and I was ignored and the breakfast burito was so full of huge halapenjo pieces that my partner's stomach ached for a long time and he felt very bad and the waitress didn't even offer water. ...

Great central place for a meal! Very cool decor which adds to Manekin's relaxed atmosphere. Good price. Most non Polish visitors come here for the very traditional Polish dish 'Żurek w Chlebie', I love this dish and I can say this is good example of it, definitely recommended (if I'm picky they could add a little more meat in it, but maybe I was unfortunate with my portion) Manekin is also famous for their pancakes and crepes.
