Little Hanoi and more Katowice ❤️
Located in the very center of Katowice, the Vietnamese restaurant offers a nice inside and outside dining space. Whether you are alone, with a group, or on a date it is a perfect place. The outside seating area is large and spacious, and so is the inside. I opted for seating inside, because the beautiful decorations and balloons just caught my eye.
The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The woman, who served me spoke a bit of English and tried her best to give me recommendations on what to try.
The seating is beautiful and the decorations make you feel somewhere in Vietnam, while in reality you are in Poland.
The portions are quite large and absolutely delicious.
I went for spring rolls with shrimp, Duck "Hanoi Style" with plum sauce and rice noodles as a side. For a drink I chose just fizzy orange juice, as after the journey I was a bit tired and did not want to go for something alcoholic.
The spring rolls were amazing, beautifully served with an amazing sauce and very fresh and perfect as an appetizer. Next time I am there, I am going to try the fried ones, because they also looked very inviting.
The Duck was beautifully prepared and the plum sauce was to die for. The portion was large and I nearly couldn't handle it, but it was so delicious that I just couldn't leave even a bit of it. The onions below the duck were delicious as well and the sauce was sweet and sour and spicy as well - a perfect combination of various tastes. The rice noodles went perfectly with it.
After a meal, you are served complimentary tea and biscuits, which is a wonderful end to the previous experience.
So if you ever happen to be in Katowice, definitely go to "Little Hanoi and more" (even though Polish food is amazing, Vietnamese is something totally out of this world 🤭❤️

Read moreI could have given more stars, but the way they made me feel here was pathetic. We booked a table for my b'day well in advanced, when we reach there the staff told us rudely that KIDS are Not allowed post 6 pm.... seriously??? They made me feel that they are doing a favor on us by allowing us to sit in. They gave us a table in the corner ,where mosquitos were there and we were not allowed to change the table so that my kid could hid, as if it's a shame to be there with a kid. We booked for 9pm by the time it was 9:15, we left with no choice but to sit there as we didn't want to ruin my b'day more. Now comes to the food part. For vegetarians very limited options. Infact only one option- tofu..tofu starter, tofu soup and tofu main dish. Tofu springroll: not good, I would not recommend it, except the sauce provided with it was nice. Tofu soup: the size of the soup was huge to fill ones meal. The taste was upto the mark. But drawback was it's over pricey. Main dish : there is nothing I can say bad about it except it's was pricey too. Dish was full of flavors, very nice. Few tips for the owner: Train your staff to ask if kids are there before making reservations,n to mention that's you are not kids friendly. If your staff forget to ask while making reservations about kids, make a post on the door 'KIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED ' Or you can mention on your website. You may avoid to shame a parent for having kids.
Parents: beware of little Hanoi, they are not kids friendly and may ruin your day by shaming you for producing kids.
I will never go to this restaurant again ever in my life who doesn't...
Read moreTook the family out to eat dinner here and at first was having an amazing dinner until the “older Asian woman” showed up.
When she showed up as our server halfway through the meal, she lectured us and was condescending because we ordered a bunch of appetizers that we shared before our main dishes and 1 of the appetizers was a “large soup.” She Told us we can never do that again and almost yelled at us. Granted she was speaking Polish and i didn’t know until after. I was so upset as my “polish in laws” never go out to eat and they were lectured on the dumb soup.
We ordered over 6 main dishes and split 4 appetizers including the “large soup.”
We felt so insulted after and the “old Asian lady” served us the rest of the night with a nasty attitude.
I asked her for large plates with our dinner because i saw them on other tables and She had the nerve to say we can only have 1. This would never happen in America. They would be out of business.
I never do reviews but i have to post this story for ruining our Friday night over a dumb soup the table shared.
By the way they even gave us small soup bowls to eat with. I guess our original super nice Australian waitress made a mistake but it was just the most petty thing ever. If you decide to eat there, avoid this nasty older Asian women....
