Pizza z Pieca Classic Italian Style — Restaurant in Katowice

So many wrong things with this place. First: some waitresses go around accepting cash payments and orders in gloves and then they go in and help the chefs put ingredients on pizzas ... without changing the gloves. This is surely food safety violation.

Second: the waiting times for anything are quite ridiculous. Pizza arrived uncut and we had to ask and wait for cutlery which was brought to us with missing knives, for which we then had to wait extra. The oils for the pizza haven't been brought at all to our table.

Finally: the pizza isn't even good, it tasted as if it was undercooked or something. It didn't have any crunch and was spongy/rubbery. Basically just as 'good' as a pizza from any basic...

There are 2 excellent pizzeria in Katowice and this is one of the twos: the only one in Mariacka area. The other one is in Warsawska street. Pizza z pieca has very very good ingredients! The dough is not exactly the original from the Napoli tradition but it is 90% there. Anyway you can eat an amazing pizza whatever you choose on the menu. I am Italian and same region as Napoli. So, trust me if I tell to come and eat pizza here. Good music, not loud. Nice service. Last time I had a problem with the order but all was solved in some time. Good bier on tap. Unfortunately they do not deliver to home 😢 even if on Google it is written they do. Please...

Each month i try to eat pizza at this place. As always, ingredients on a pizza and pizza itself are really best of the best. From two years thay have problems with waiters. Sometimes they forgot that thay have costumers and you need to wait for order, for dishes, for pay... Sometimes everything is so quick, so perfect like first time. Pizza for sure is Italian one (remember, if you was only once in Italy you not know how real Italian pizza should look like. Lot of places in Italy are only for tourists not knowing the perfect pizza tastes). So, if you are there, for sure you will no regret it, if everything...
