Visited Aug 2022. This is a second attempt, as my previous review has disappeared.
We'd been to this cafe a couple of times before but after our last visit we've been put off and not planning on going back, sadly. The service was soooo bad that, had it not been for the fact the place is quite far from other eateries, we probably would have walked out and gone elsewhere.
As some other reviewers have written here before, some personnel aren’t respectful towards the customers and their approach is quite militant, I thought (and quite shockingly, the duty managers seem to then back them up when a complaint is made - hardly ever a good sign). In any case, a hallmark of good customer service is always being respectful and friendly to your patrons, which sadly is not the case at Manggha Café.
It didn't help that once the mains arrived, it turned out that half of the order had not got sent to the kitchen, so two of our party had to wait for their food extra time (admittedly, those items got removed from the bill, but the meal experience had been ruined).
As for the food, in my opinion the quality has deteriorated somewhat, the shrimps were quite mushy, the rice flareless and tasteless and the chicken on the dry side. And so on the outside the food looks colourful and appetising, but once you dig in you’re in for a bit of a let-down.
2022 08 26 EDIT – REPLY TO THE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER POSTED BELOW
Thank you for your response, but regrettably I take issue with it.
The main problem with your response is – and that’s the theme of most responses to any negative comments below – that you simply do not accept a member of your staff may have behaved in an inappropriate manner towards a customer. You just state that your staff always treat people with respect, full stop.
Well, as a customer I'm telling you that this is not what happened on that occasion-- if you care to hear honest opinion from your customers, then here it is!
I wrote my review not for the sake (or fun) of doing it, but so that the management become aware of this and hopefully action may be put in place to correct it. I'm confident you'll agree that's how customer care should work in any establishment aiming to always improve its customer experience.
It’s a truism to say that unless the management recognise that something untoward may have occurred, the issue will never get fixed and is likely to reoccur in the future.
I am gutted to say that your response fails to instil any reassurance in me that lessons have been learned from this sorry incident....

Read moreNice place with great view from the terrace (But not from all the tables. We got there (on Sunday) only few minutes after the opening and there was only one table available with no view and one with a really small and low table, so not the best idea for having breakfast, but great for drinks.) To be honest, if you come by car and park on Sandomierska or Zamkowa Street, it's difficult to find the entrance - we expected one from the river side, but the stairs weren't connected and the arrow sign sent us in the wrong direction xD (The entrance is from the 2nd Obwodnica Street.) I loved the big choice in different types of tea (white, green, black, Chinese, Korean, etc.) and the cute teapots they serve it in (You can buy the Teapots in the shop that's next to the café- in the same building). The tea was selected by a Tea Master. The onigiris are huge (as big as a hand) and there were some typical (salmon or tuna) and some unusual choices (peanut miso). We took two sweet breakfasts - one with crepes and one with the spongecake pancakes and one traditional Teishoku style breakfast with makrel. We also ordered additional basket of Shokupan (The "milk bread" is to die for!) The spongecake pancakes aren't for people who do not like spongecake for sure. Even though the mascarpone cream was delicious and the miso caramel was to die for (Best thing? You can buy a jar of it for 15zl and take it with you.) The staff was really nice and friendly. We will definitely come back to try the...
