Disgusting. Non Polish waitress (sounded like Ukrainian from her accent) was so rude to my family and I visiting from Canada today. We told her we had been waiting for someone to come upstairs with a food menu (we had ordered and payed for drinks upstairs). There is an upstairs section for the bar only and the restaurant is downstairs. All are self serve but they don’t tell you that and aren’t clear on it. Another waitress said to us to wait upstairs when we asked to see a menu, we waited for over half a hour and with a baby. When I finally went downstairs and expressed my discontent politely, the non Polish rude waitress downstairs was not only dismissive but refused to give us her name or managements name or contact when asked for it because we wanted to make a complaint. Instead she told us to get out (we were paying customers) then threatened to call the police on us. People like this shouldn’t be working in hospitality but at a barn shovelling horse manure. Shame on this place to hire and protect people like this, it makes me ashamed to be Polish. Zero accountability and hospitality from both...
Read moreDRINKS Nice setting. Good cocktails. Good prices for drinks. Bartenders are nice. Tables and floor were dirty. Bees everywhere bothering us. No music. FOOD I see people getting food upstairs so I go order (it's 7pm). Waitress makes no secret she is unhappy speaking English with me. Refuses to serve me food arguing that the kitchen is closed. I asked how come since my 3 neighbors upstairs just got served, she repeats they closed the kitchen, I ask why, she repeats the kitchen is closed, I ask when did it close, same old answer, it is closed. -- Then another employee tells me the restaurant is all booked and that clients will come soon. I go back up and then down to leave about 20 minutes later. There was absolutely no one in the...
Read moreMy first time in Kraków with friends. It was an amazing experience, until we visited Arkadia. We spotted this beautiful boat on the river and decided to check it out. As soon as we went inside it was clear that we weren't welcome as foreign tourists. We saw the served Irish coffee, but they quickly said that the coffee machine was broken and that they were closing soon (we arrived at 8pm and it said they close at 11pm). The staff (who must have been in very early 20s started speaking in Polish to each other, then looked at us with a smirk. I hope the manager knows that they let money walk away that evening. Other than one bad experience, Kraków is a wonderful city with many other...
