I was at camp for 4 nights with colleagues and two 9th graders. Upon arrival, there was a lady at the reception who was not exactly smiling.||My room had a horrible and undefinable smell that made me feel sick. The view was not to the river, but to a window in a backyard. The button for the big flush on the toilet was broken. The small flush worked but left the toilet with running water that was hard to stop again. There were many disgusting large and small stains of various colors and undefinable origin on the carpet that made me not want to walk around barefoot, and in one nightstand drawer there were 6 forgotten condoms and a bottle of lube from a previous stay (says something about the standard of cleaning and attention in each room).||The hotel couldn't/wouldn't change my room except for one night, but they would give the room an extra cleaning the next day. They had done that when I came back to the room the next afternoon, but there was still a bad smell in the room. The things that weren't working were fixed, so I'll give them that.||Breakfast was lousy and as the days went by, it was obvious that several parts of the breakfast (salads, cheese, tomato) were put back in the following days, causing some of the salads to have a distinct discolored crust on the surface.||I would not recommend eating breakfast at the hotel.||If I had arrived with a family member hoping for a nice place with good conditions, I would have asked for a refund and found another hotel.||It must be said that the view from the rooms facing the river...

Why else do you think it features so highly in their own adverts?||||There was perhaps a time when the hotel was great. But it has not been maintained. The rooms are bare, with a horrid rough carpet and they give the impression of being from a museum of life under communism.||The breakfast was very poor. Coffee machine worked intermittently. Little variety or choice. I've had better breakfasts in several Polish youth hostels.||As I sat down to breakfast, I found a dollop of congealed yoghurt and crumbs on my seat. This did nothing for my appetite. ||My main concern is that I booked a room late on a Friday. I knew it wouldn't have a river view - see from my pictures what view it did have - But I did hope to sleep. That hope never materialised. They gave me room 11, which is right underneath the motor for the air conditioning in the whole hotel. I tried to sleep and couldn't, being kept awake by frequent intermittent banging noises from the pipes overhead. They knew what they were doing when they gave me that room. At 2.45am, I got the receptionist to come up snd listen. he agreed it was awful. Then he went downstairs and turned the whole system off. it came back on again at 7am. Waste of time. Laughably, he tried to claim the noise was my air conditioning. But he had to be quiet when I pointed out it was not even switched on. ||They cynically exploited a lone foreigner, hoping he...
