This is one of the Polish foods we just had to try after seeing so many videos on this pizza style food dish. The food court is in a small market square surrounded by many smaller business stands selling a wide variety of local items to include old military surplus items, clothing, etc. The food court is a large circular building with many independent food businesses selling the Polish zapiekanki sandwich. As you walk around the building you can decide which business to purchase from and all you do is walk up to the window, order your food, and wait for it to be served. This place seems to be very business no matter what time of day you visit, and it serves as a hub for people, friends and family to gather, socialize, drink and enjoy a hardy zapiekanki sandwich. Beware, there are not many places to sit down and enjoy your sandwich, so be ready to stand. The only negatives can be the crowds, which means waiting a long time to get your sandwich and it is not the cleanest place in town. Otherwise, if you wish to experience the real local climate, then this is a good place to...

🤌🤌 If you're in Krakow and want to try zapiekanka, this is definitely one of the top spots. I had the Hawaiian version and it was generous with toppings, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The portion was filling and served hot. The taste met my expectations.

There are other places nearby, but this one seems to be the most popular. There might be a line, but it moves quickly. Prices are also very reasonable.

One thing to note: because of all the sauce and toppings, it can get a bit messy while eating. Having plenty of napkins is not just helpful, it's necessary. If you come prepared, you’ll enjoy it even more. Overall, I was very satisfied and would...

Good polish street food place, nice vibes overall. To sum up, Zapiekanki are Kraków’s answer to late-night cravings, hangry afternoons, or “I just want cheese and carbs” moments—and the places serving them get it. Picture a halved baguette, toasted to perfection, piled with mushrooms, cheese, and whatever toppings your heart desires. Then they drown it in sauces like it's a sport. Glorious. You’ll find the best ones in little street food spots, often sizzling on display like they know they’re irresistible. They're cheap, delicious, and somehow hit the exact comfort food sweet spot.
