The restaurant says open until 10pm both on Google and on the sign on door. I entered at just after 9pm, restaurant not full, waitress looks troubled at me and says kitchen is closed! I asked why if I am an hour before closing ... she checks with kitchen, says you can have moussaka and french fries. Doesn't even show me menu because she wants to rush me. Moussaka arrived, had been microwaved but hot on outside, in the middle was cold. Obviously in a hurry to even microwave and get me out of there. During meal waitress starts spraying tables with disinfectant and wiping them while I am eating nearby! My plate was whisked away as soon as she could, even though it is now only 9.25pm (remember, they close at 10pm!). I asked for a coffee and was told "no, coffee machine turned off". I felt unwelcomed, rushed, and the moussaka was not warmed up properly even by microwave. To the owner: Why don't you just change your opening hours to say "not welcome after 9pm ... , kitchen and coffee close early" Will not come back again.
Reply to owner's ridiculous comment: And you cannot even make a coffee 30 minutes before you close!! ?? Please, this is ridiculous.
If you close the kitchen at 9pm then state that you close at 9pm. What's the the point of keeping the door open and telling customers at 9pm the kitchen is closed?? You closed the kitchen an hour before and you spray tables with disinfectant while I am eating at 9.20pm. Turned off coffee machine too. Just close at 9pm and stop...
Read moreBest greek food i've had outside Greece. Went to Krakow for four nights last week, and had seen reviews of Minaos, an liking Greek food wanted to give it a go. Hadn't booked a table for me and my wife, but if you are thinking of going, I would advise it. The restaurant is not very big, but if they can fit you in, the staff will. thay all speak perfect english, and are an absolute joy to be served by (worthy of a good tip). both times we got a table and the staff always kept an eye out, in case you needed anything. GO HUNGRY! you will waddle out with a full belly. I had fried saganaki cheese as a starter moussaka the first time with an ouzo aperitif with a local zwiec draft beer and dolmades as a starter with chicken souvlaki and ouzo and the same beer the second time, The menu has something for everyone i think. We ate there twice in our four night trip, even though we were staying the other end of the city, and Krakow is a good place for food. Anyone that gives this place less than five stars needs to re-evaluate their...
Read moreThe food was really good actually but the service was unacceptably rude. We were told the kitchen closed at 8:20 when we asked to reserve for 8 pm so we reserved for 7:30 pm and arrived at 7:20 to be safe. At 7:35 the waitress had come over 4 times pushing us to order and we were still looking at the menu after ordering drinks - we actually all witnessed her roll her eyes excessively when we asked for 2 more minutes to choose - when the bill came it didn’t show the details of the items and we asked her to explain what each line item as its normal to review the cheque in a restaurant and again she was super rude and impatient - never have we experienced such direct rudeness - I am hopeful that the owners of the restaurant also read this as its clear they care about the quality of the food they are serving and its such a shame to have it ruined by such rudeness - we would never go back here again and don’t recommend it for the...
