Mexican Food — Restaurant in Krakow

I’m from Florida and, BOY, do I love my Mexican food. When I head about this place I HAD to go. I ordered the following 1/2 spicy carnitas taco -spicy chicken taco -refried beans -rice My total is was 24 zł. I was very, very, very happy with my carnitas taco. Best thing I ordered. I did like my chicken taco, but I didn’t care for the spicy salsa’s flavor(it was a little sweet). The reason my review is only 3 starts instead of 5 is the rice and beans. I was so so so excited because this is one of my favorite foods but I was so disappointed. The refried beans were made with black beans and were sweet. I do not know why, as traditionally they are made with pinto beans and are salty with some cheese on top. And the rice was white rice with peas and carrots in it. I have eaten everything on their menu and was lucky enough to get to know Gabriel close enough to get more insights into his cooking processes etc! I was there when he was trying out his new buffalo sauce for hot wings, let me tell you this much, it made me cry 😂 It is as authentic as it can be based in Poland.

My go to order is the chicken quesadilla, the chicken is always super tender and not over seasoned, the crunch of the onions and the smoothness of the avo and oozing cheese knock it out of the park! The fresh lime squeezed on top what takes it to the next level with freshness being packed from that and the coriander. The side sauce I usually go for a hot or medium but the heat differs on days so if you like it extra hot then maybe ask for some of that buffalo sauce.

Restaurant is horrible now and has become one of the worst. My medium spice burrito was sweet like candy and not salty at all. There was no beans, cheese, or sour cream. This restaurant doesn’t care anymore.

Don’t bother buying this food that tastes like dog food because kfc has better Mexican food at this point in time. The salsa with the tortilla chips was passata from biedronka. Even the tortilla chips taste like cardboard. 98 zl for two soggy burritos. I promise you can make better Mexican food at home both faster and cheaper. Long gone are the days of this restaurant serving good food with good prices. Now it is objectively bad food and at a high price. I wonder...
