This place is not suitable for larger groups (more than 5 people). It was my friend's birthday and she wanted to have brunch with us, her friends. She rang the cafe to warn them, to say there would be a group of 13 people coming at 10:30. The place does not take bookings, you cannot book a table. You come and wait by the sign to be seated. Our birthday girl got there earlier and managed to secure a small round table near the entrance. We gathered there, some of us had chairs to sit on, others had to stand. When another table became available, we split the group and went to sit in the other room. The food was warm and tasty which is good. At the end I asked for a bill and received the total sum for the entire group (about 600 zloty). I asked to split the bill, the waitress refused. It is not possible to split the bill. How come? What's so difficult about it? Some people wanted to pay at the till whilst ordering, this wasn't possible either. I paid the entire sum as there was no other option but the way it was handled was far from pleasant. I would suggest to the owners to rethink their "group handling" policy. Not letting people book a table then not letting them split the bill? Do you not want groups in? The place seems to be very busy most of the time. We were there on a Saturday (today) and there were people queueing to get in. I went there last week on my own on Wednesday and it was also busy. It was much better then. It is good for solo travellers or groups of maximum 5 people, buy definitely not for larger groups. The other thing is they added service charge (5,38zl) per person without letting us know about it. In the menu it said "prices do not include service" and there was no information about it. It would be good to let the people know, either in writing in the menu or verbally whilst ordering. It...
Read moreNajlepsze śniadanie jakie jadłem w Krakowie! Menu pełne ciekawych dań które są bardzo apetycznie podane. Do tego można dostać śniadanie o każdej porze 😄 Do zobaczenia wkrótce.
I found this place online, on top of a few rankings for the best breakfast place in Cracow.
If you are a late breakfast eater, then here's another reason to visit as the breakfast is served all day!
Food aesthetically pleasing - an ateable art. Quality, flavour, variaty on the menu, range of flavours is also another advantage.
I am visiting Cracow but since I visited this cafe the first time, I have returned for the last couple of mornings trying to discover more off the menu.
Review in English as I would like to highlight this place to others visiting, as I am sure all locals already know this place:) .
You'll find that the cafe is full most of the time but if you are required to wait for the table, I suggest you do so as the food is worth the wait. So far tried the breakfast burger, taco pancakes & french toast served on a challa. Tried a barbie latte, and most of the refreshing drinks on the menu. Great, speedy, friendly service, special shout outs to Julka, Dominika & Ola which are dictating the atmosphere and provide...
Read moreBreakfast dishes were delicious, we really liked it although they were priced above average. However, the main unpleasant experience was afterwards, the way they treated us. When we wanted to enjoy some drinks, we ordered Aperol Spritz, but it was very diluted; mainly sparkling water, some prosecco and a few drops of Aperol to give its color. We kindly requested some more Aperol to be added, and they said they can add it but it’d be extra. We were surprised, because even with its pale-orange color it was obvious that it was diluted, and trying to make more money just to correct their mistake didn’t fit the customer-centric impression they tend to create. We still tried to explain it to them and mentioned we have drunk Aperol Spritz many times all around the world and especially in Italy, but with an arrogant tone the response they gave us was that this is the way they prepare it in this cafe.
A nicely started breakfast experience, ended up unpleasant for us, which is the reason behind our rating. Food is great but if you face a problem be prepared that it won’t be addressed well. Personally, we wouldn’t visit again, especially since there are many other beautiful breakfast places in Krakow, at much...
