I was visiting Krakow with a a group of friends for a few days and It was my turn to find a place for dinner. I found this restaurant by the river which was also not far from our flat in Kazimierz.
From the moment we entered, the warm ambiance transported us straight to a world of indulgence. The service is impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who are passionate about both the food and the extensive wine list.
The menu is a like love letter to anyone who identifies as a foodie. Argentina’s culinary traditions, local cheeses and a Ceviche bar with great selection of dishes, to name a few, were promising start of the evening. The tuna tartar was excellent and paired very well with a bottle of white wine. The Argentinian ribs were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of smokiness and served with a flavorful side dishes. The yuzu sauce!!! It was an otherworldly addition to the meat.
The wine list is nothing short of exciting featuring wines from Europe, New Zealand and of course Argentina. I wish we had found this place earlier so we could visit at least once more.
This was one of the best places we visited for dinner...
Read moreI ordered a Japanese Wagyu A5 steak, cooked medium rare. What I received was a steak cooked blue and served cold. Yes, cold. Completely unacceptable for such a premium dish. To make things worse, there were four of us, and the waiter had the audacity to include a 68 PLN tip in the bill, which was absolutely undeserved. The service was non-existent—he didn’t even bother to check on our table or ask if the food was satisfactory.
While the baked potatoes and mango lemonade were passable, the "Bez i Fiolk" lemonade was absolutely revolting—it tasted like an unpalatable mix of artificial flavors. The burgers? Bland, boring, and completely forgettable. Even the coffee was over-roasted and bitter.
This place is a disgrace to the restaurant industry. Honestly, you’re better off going to McDonald’s, where at least you know what you’re getting. If you want to ruin your evening, waste your money, and leave hungry, then by all means, visit Salta House. For everyone else, avoid this disaster of a restaurant at all costs.

Last night, my partner and I visited the restaurant for some steak to enjoy, while the staff were lovely and so was the food. I noticed that the steak was just warm, but thought nothing of it as thought it had rested for a while but I believe it was not cooked enough.
Unfortunately, when we returned back to our place, my partner had a bad stomach but luckily she is fine now. Sadly, I also ended up with a bad stomach and have been violently throwing up very poorly with food poisoning after visiting the restaurant.
I hope measures will be put into place to prevent this...
