Spice of India, Kraków — Restaurant in Krakow

Update: I would like to say as well that the owner called me personally and apologized about it. This tells a lot about the type of person he is and thank you for that. He said that the order was free since they cancelled it, but I have been charged by Uber (Uber is saying that I am the one who cancelled it). After this man called me I decided to change the rating to 5 stars because he sounds like a 5 stars person. Still I found unnecessary that the delivery guy looked at the person who received the order with a mad face.

Thank you very much for calling me, I personally appreciate it and value it and I will give you another chance because people like you deserve it - obviously.

I really want to express my dissatisfaction and total disappointment with this restaurant. I have been here 4 times in the past, all of them were super good, but for the first time I am not satisfied with the quality of the service not food. I would like to add this is the first time I order to get the food delivered. 1. The order got cancelled because the delivery man said he could not find me, but looks like he did not try. I complained with the owner of the store, who did not know what to say at the beginning - asking me to order again, even though I already waited for more than 90 minutes. At the end he called the delivery guy and it seems he did not know how to use the bell of the building and he was ringing another apartment, I could tell that because we were on the phone and I was able to hear the bell from another apartment but not mine. I sent someone to open him the door since I could tell he wasn’t ringing the right bell, and he just through her the good looking at the person I sent with a hate face. 2. I asked for not spicy food / łagodnie in polish, and it was more spicy than ever. One of the people who ate the chicken got sick because of how spicy it was/ just one to add one more time that this person has gone to this restaurant as well and this was never that spicy.

I would give it another chance but just at the restaurant because this delivery experience was a disaster.

I believe they should be more empathetic and more customer friendly when dealing with this problems. It seems like this guy did not even make the effort...

We thought we would experience that Indian food here. We had a friendly welcome by the staff and was seated by a large window, looking onto the main street.

We ordered poppadoms each, they were a lot different to what we have in England, but that's just experimenting with new restaurants.

For our main dishes we chose a chicken Korma and a Butter chicken. We shared a Pilau rice. We also shared a Keema nan bread. We chose a lemon Tea for our drinks.

The food was tasty, though slightly different to what we have in England, but I must say we are spoilt by choice at home.

The price of the food was good value, so pleased we stopped off here to try this restaurant. There was a flight of stairs up to enter this place, so not good for disabled...

We rocked up with 13 unannounced diners and were immediately allocated a table for everyone and served very politely. No alcoholic drinks available, but this hopefully only a temporary problem. Foodwise, we quickly received some popadoms - different to what I'm used to but nonetheless very tasty. I received good advice regarding my order, and my chicken curry, rice and cheese naan were all delicious with the right level of spice. The mango lassi and green tea were excellent too!

Last but not least, paying individually was no problem at all, and the owner even remembered what each individual person had without having to ask!
