BASMA Mezze & Grill — Restaurant in Lublin

First time I had a very disappointing experience 2/5 due to mediocre food at a high price. But I like the lemon chicken and went just for hat this time.

This time it was good and they also improved the pita baking/heating it fresh before serving.

Music wasn't as loud this time.

I would still like there to be a more creamy sauce available, I think they removed it/waiters was confused/I'm tripping there was a more creamy sauce last time. 4/5

We decided to sit outside because music was loud and acoustics were bad while interior was nice.

We've ordered a meat platter for 2 with some pickled vegetables, pita bread and sauces for 200 PLN. The meat could have been finished by 1 person, lamb chops were undersalted and underseasoned same with what was probably Adana kebab, chicken was excellent.

Pickled vegetables we left almost entirely uneaten especially the red cabbage was strange due to a anise vinegar marinade. Pita wasn't freshly baked but room temp. Sauces were all 4 pretty good. Fries were average. Rice was extremely good: light and fluffy with some sweet cinnamon seasoning which unfortunately didn't pair well with freshly grilled meat it would have paired great with some sweet couscous.

Drinks were also expensive and mediocre I ordered a virgin cocktail with pomegranate juice and rose water for 25 PLN which was nearly 50% crushed ice and wasn't sweet enough my cousin ordered a jus'd orange for 22 PLN which wasn't chilled and tasted like it was made out of cheap unripe oranges.

We had an excellent experience at BASMA last evening. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being intrusive. We chose to sit outside on the patio, which had a lovely atmosphere, but we also peeked inside and were struck by how beautiful the interior is — warm, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. We’re already looking forward to coming back...
