MIEL Coffee — Restaurant in Poznan

The desserts are beyond surprisingly good. I was completely sold that I had to come thrice in a day.

First time was a puff with raspberry filling and white chocolate cream and pistachio flakes on top. At first glance, the puff seems overbaked too hard, but when I managed to have all elements in single bite, it was quite magical. You have all different flavors and textures blending in perfectly, especially the white chocolate cream was doing a lot bridging them together. So it didnt only look good, it tasted even more so.

The second time I had the white chocolate cherry tart. It looks pretty darn normal, but again, the layers of flavors/textures are so well thought. Pretty convinced they made their own cherry fillings (not much sweet at all, all cherry aroma), and there’s actually a layer of dark chocolate alongside the cherry underneath the smooth but strong chocolate cream; last at the bottom you have a nice crust. Different intensity/texture of chocolate elements came through at different time, with a nice fruitiness at the base. I almost wanted to take a 2nd one (also the last one available) but another customer went before me.

The 3rd visit was a cake with similar flavors but less impressive because it wasn’t kept cold enough and because the textures weren’t as varied. But it is what it is, and still tasted good. Just not stellar like the previous two.

Coffee-wise, I think it’s a good pairing with desserts for its full body. But nothing much too remarkable. But the dessert did make me wanna come to...

Very nice location, where you can dream away from the large window. Decor leans against the Neo Art Deco. Very clean and a good presentation of their excellent cakes. Recommended is the cheese cake. Alternative proposals for a delicious breakfast and / or snacks. The coffee is an excellent selection of the best beans from the African and South American tropics. Beautifully served in class crockery. I think the coffee machine is a very expensive machine that ensures the perfect pressure, but above all you can taste it, this machine is regularly polished very professionally and that's how it should be and every coffee connoisseur knows that. But even the infusions and drinks like Aperol Spritz or also organic Prosecco all testify that the owner had dreamed for years to start a star business. The staff is also full of conviction at the service in several languages ​​for the young family with the puppy, the proud mother with baby, the young couple in love and the old woman looking for her daily portion of sweet with a...

Absolutely fantastic coffee. Best I've had in the city of Poznan. Sort of like a traditional coffee house, where the cocus is on coffee and it's served at the perfect temperature and texture.

They use alternative milks, in particular Oatley Barista which is by far the best alternative milk option out there.

Coffee blend was Salvador if I remember correctly, and it's fruity flavour comes through nicely. Tried the flat white fiest and then a cappuccino to go, equally as tasty.

Some food options available with a couple of cakes to choose from, but again it is a coffee house rather than a cafe and it excels at it.
