Free on Tuesdays, closed on Mondays. Staff on entrance were very rude and unfriendly ( Tue. 1 pm, 28th May). My partner asked them questions in Polish and the girl was answering short and sharp, before turning her back in the middle of the conversation, to start chatting with someone else ! How difficult is it to have/to learn some basic manner and people skills. Don't this museum want good reviews or more people to visit? Surely that would generate more revenue for museum too!!! Your employees need to be taught that tourism brings more business to local people therefore every effort must be made to welcome more people visiting the city. Backward dated thinking of certain ppl perhaps ? Poor management, lacking vision for potential prospects? The museum also needs better signposting of floors, as at the moment they're relying on a bunch of grumpy staff with zero English. The views from the tower were nice, although it was impossible to enjoy it through dirty windows but if you take the stairs up and out, you can then see a clear cityscape. Nice bits and bobs from around the world. We visited during a rainy hour which was a nice escape from...

The exhibition of artifacts itself is very good and I particularly like the way they've designed the lighting, many glass cabinets of internal lighting or spotlights directed from high above. This really cuts down or eliminates back refection in the glass which often interfers with viewing/photographing items. The collection covers furniture, ceramics, glass & metal, weapons, jewellery etc. Items presented here cover a period from middle ages to modern times. The other thing to mention is that information on the exhibits is also...
Read moreCastle was nice, but I wish more material would have been in English (but that's me being a lazy American as I should be increasing my Polish language skills). The associated museum was alright, but I'm not much of an art, ancient artifacts, Rennisance or other considerably older periods of time...but if you are, there's a HIGE inventory all laid out for viewing-it IS impressive! Options to get to the top of the tower are elevator or climb 185 steps-good PR on the part of whoever renovated everything as each flight of stairs is 10' and a sign marks every 10' feet (or steps) completed-or take the elevator. There are a few windows to look out from during the climb and you can always take the elevator back down. Regardless, worth the price...
