Good kitchen - Bad experience
A few days ago we decided to give Muga the fourth and final chance after three disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, Muga failed and there will be no more attempts. Normally we would never try so many times after a disappointment but the fact is that the basic quality of the kitchen in Muga is on the level of a Michelin star but a good kitchen is not enough to get a star and the way things are I doubt that Muga will ever get one. In connection with previous visits we once experienced so small portions at a Vallentines Day menu that we had to go elsewhere to eat afterwards. We also once asked for more bread and butter (butter in microscopic portions) to see it added to the bill. Our latest and last experience was the 6 course degustation menu for 3 persons. Appetizers and starters were excellent and showed the potential of the kitchen. The first main course unfortunately was not up to the standard since the goose was not tender but the taste was still good. The second main course, deer, was in our opinion not well composed and did not live up to the rest. The dessert was poor and showed that Muga does not have a confectioner (in contrast to all French Michelin starred restaurants) and the petit four, 2 pieces per person, was not up to a reasonable standard either. We were served two glasses of wine each and the wine alone came to 249 zł for 6 glasses and was substantially overpriced for what it was. During the meal we were each served one small roll and half a loaf of dark bred and a very small portion of butter. While the quality of this was good the amount was completely inadequate. A little later we were served another roll per person and this was added to the bill at 15 zł, which is inadmissable since we didn't ask for it. This kind of stinginess is very characteristic for Muga and the policy of trying to press even more money out of the guests this way is not only bad business ethics but outright stupid since we can accept 195 zł or even more for a menu but not being taken to the cleaners for extra butter, rolls, overpriced wine, etc. Any good restaurant be that in France or elsewhere would deliver the amount of bread and butter needed throughout the meal without discussion or additional charges. In this respect, Muga failed for the fourth time and we felt (and were) cheated. We will...
Read moreMy family and I had the pleasure of celebrating our daughter's birthday at MUGA Restaurant on September 11, 2021, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From start to finish, the entire visit left us with nothing but positive impressions.
First and foremost, I'd like to commend the establishment for their exceptional service even before we arrived. During the booking process, we had requested a small birthday decoration for our daughter, nothing overly elaborate. To our surprise and immense delight, MUGA went above and beyond to ensure that our daughter felt truly special on her big day. The care and effort put into the decoration were evident, as you can see in the attached picture. It was a heartfelt gesture that set the tone for the entire evening.
Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding! Each dish we ordered was a culinary masterpiece, and it was evident that the chefs at MUGA take great pride in their craft. The flavors, presentation, and quality of ingredients were top-notch. Not only did the food meet our expectations, but it also exceeded them, leaving our taste buds dancing with joy.
Equally praiseworthy was the service we received. The attention to detail displayed by the staff was remarkable. They consistently ensured that our glasses were refilled, and they frequently checked in to inquire if everything was to our liking. It's these small gestures that elevate a dining experience, and MUGA certainly excels in this regard.
As a father, I couldn't have been more pleased with how the evening turned out. MUGA Restaurant is undoubtedly an establishment that has earned my utmost respect and attention. They understand the importance of creating memorable moments, and they go the extra mile to make it happen.
To sum it up, our visit to MUGA Restaurant on September 11, 2021, was nothing short of perfect. The wonderful food, impeccable service, and the special care taken for our daughter's birthday celebration made it an unforgettable experience. We will most definitely be returning to MUGA in the future. Thank you for making our daughter's birthday truly special...

s about it. My partner and I reserved a table for our anniversary and as we entered, we were surprised not to be greeted with a smile. That is the first thing that puts a person off, when they walk to a high-end restaurant. Congratulations to the chef for his amazing skills, the food was absolutely delicious, however in my opinion this is not a place for a romantic dinner nor business meeting, as the restaurant itself is extremely compact and tables are placed very close to each other which makes you hear every single word people next to you say. Half of the chairs are placed with their back towards the walkthrough which is very uncomfortable and we had to wait for quite some time and ask staff for handing us a wine card. This is not a behaviour you expect from a restaurant, that in future would like to receive a Michelin star. We have celebrated ocassions in many high end places in the world and also, secretly hoped for perhaps "Happy Aniversary" on a dessert, but this sadly didn
t happen neither. Conclusion: A place with no atmosphere but... Read more
