Cybermachina — Restaurant in Toruń

I recently visited Cybermachina with some friends, and while the place itself was nice, the experience was... a bit unusual. The vibe was good, the staff were friendly, and the drinks were decent, but there was one thing that threw us off, they were running some kind of quiz night. Don’t get me wrong, quizzes can be fun, but it felt really out of place. The bar was filled with people focused on answering questions, so it was almost impossible to have a proper conversation. To make it worse, there was no music playing at all, which made the atmosphere feel a bit dull. It’s a bar you expect some background tunes to set the mood, right? Maybe it's just not my thing, but I left feeling like I didn't really get the relaxing night out I was hoping for. I love that you can play Tekken and Mortal Kombat here! The board games are mostly in Polish so keep that in mind, but the fact that you can play one of my favorite fighting games here is why I give it 5 stars. Absolutely brilliant idea. It's all free too, you just have to order a drink and you're good. They also offer nachos, which I do recommend because they come with cheese and salsa sauces and are very, very yummy - and warm.

I will say that the games we've played are in quite a bad condition and it wouldn't hurt to get new ones, maybe in english too (I mean, some cards were not only falling apart, but ripped in 2). Protecting them with sleeves is usually a good idea.

Visiting Torun and stumbled across this place, and happy I did. I didn't try any food here, but I tried many of the drinks and all were great. Loved the atmosphere as the place was very nostalgic surrounded by all the games and gaming artwork I grew up on. And the bartender was very friendly and for me it was also nice that she spoke English well because I'm terrible with languages haha. If I lived here I'd be a regular for sure. I will add that they do have some non-alcoholic options as well in both their regular and seasonal menus. So if you or any of your friends don't drink or don't want to during any of your visits, you have options as well and can still enjoy...
