Our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. We were a group of 6 adults and 6 children with a 3 PM reservation, yet the table wasn’t ready when we arrived, and we were left waiting outside. The restaurant itself is very small, and when they finally set up our table, it consisted of several mismatched smaller tables pushed together. In some spots, it was impossible to fit a chair properly between the table legs, making it uncomfortable for several of us.
Despite the late start, we tried to place our order immediately, but it still took over 15 minutes for the staff to take it. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. We waited over an hour for the food to arrive—a shocking delay, especially considering this is a pierogi restaurant, which we had assumed would be a good choice for a quick, single-course lunch.
When the food finally came, it was a complete letdown. I sampled four different fillings (three savory and one sweet), and all were utterly bland.
Overall, this was a frustrating and underwhelming experience. Between the delays, uncomfortable seating, and disappointing food, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially for larger groups or anyone hoping for a quick and satisfying meal. Pierogi are a simple, traditional dish that most restaurants and even cafeterias prepare well and make tasty, but this place failed to meet even that...
Read moreThe service was good. Our waitess was kind and polite, a bit grumpy at first but I can imagine after a long day she must have been exhausted. The atmosphere hasn't changed much since I visited the restaurant couple of years ago. The food went downhill greatly. The "czekadełko" usually consisted of lard with becon, some lovely pickles and bread, but yesterday we got few pieces of bread and a small portion of bean paste.
The cyder, which I expected to look like a typical cyder (in a bottle) was in fact a glass completely full of ice with some beer (can't really estimate the amount of the drink).
The baked pierogis were very tough and a bit dry inside. Also smaller than in the past. Quite dissapointing especially that I used to order them all the time last time I was here. Overall the feeling was that for a price of over 50 zl I could have easily got something nicer.
Hopefully it will get...
Read moreI gave one star because I can’t give zero The service was very slow took over an hour to bring us food - just some basic traditional pierogis Then after we ordered some mix salads it was completely forgotten and never brought up and when we wanted a refund for just the salads we never revived the waiter got extremely frustrated and almost threw the money back After waiting so long the food wasn’t even good - extremely disappointed place Rynek 18/08 at 16.20 - the waitress- blond girl with pony tail was very angry with no reason and suggested for us to fill in complaint if we are not happy that they miss the order - she apologised once we said that we don't want to complaint and only would like for them to improve their service , never less she ruined the whole experience for us - please re-train your staff and offer them the lesson in good...
