Museum of the History of Toruń - District Museum — Attraction in Toruń

Wonderful experience in a modern, well curated museum located in a Gothic style house. The mix of old and new feels wonderful and the exhibition fully reaches it's goal to present the history of the city.

There is a 3D movie presented, a bit short and rushed but great to see something like this. The interactive parts are very well presented, this is a serious musuem that expects to inform people who actually care about history. There is ample information in English available, so much that if you were to read it all, you'll end up spending the whole day here.

A wonderful museum of the history of Toruń. Situated in Dom Eskenow. Takes you through the ages of this beautiful town. For some unknown reason entree was free ( every Thursday there are free entrees for four different museums). If you fell in love with Toruń after a visit and you want to know its history, this is a must see. Do not miss out on the 3D movie shown on the top floor. Very nice staff as well. Muzeum warte odwiedzenia. Przede wszystkim każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie..i dorosły i dziecko. Na zwiedzanie trzeba zarezerwować sobie ok. 2 godzin, aby na kolejnych piętrach odkrywać dzieje Torunia. Wśród eksponatów, mamy również stanowiska multimedialne, możliwość odsłuchania muzyki, krótkie prezentacje, filmy, interaktywne mapy itd. Dzieci mają możliwość ułożenia toruńskich kamienic z puzzli, ubrania manekinów w stroje z danej epoki, czy też ubrania sroju krzyżackiego i zrobienia pamiątkowego zdjęcia. Za dodatkową opłatą na ostatnim piętrze budynku możemy obejrzeć krótki film w technice 3D prezentujący historię miasta. Muzeum jest przyjazne odwiedzającym, pracownicy niezwykle sympatyczni. Dodatkowo zauważyłam, że muzeum przystosowane jest do zwiedzania przez osoby niepełnosprawne. Ceny biletów przystępne, dzieci do lat 7 mają wstęp bezpłatny, natomiast w środę bezpłatne wejście do muzeum jest dla wszystkich odwiedzających....
