Coffeedesk Kawiarnia — Restaurant in Warsaw

I have never in my life received as bad service as I have in this cafe.

I ordered an espresso and croissant this morning (24/03/2023) at 08:50. I was told they had a lot of orders and would have to wait ten minutes for the coffee but was served the croissant. That’s more than fine.

Fast forward to 09:15 and my espresso has still not been served. 25 minutes wait for an espresso? That still doesn’t bother me as I was not in a rush and have no problems waiting.

What is really upsetting is that other people who ordered after me received their coffee before me. The guys who ordered just before me sat down, had their coffee, ate something and left whilst I was still waiting. People who came in and ordered 10 minutes after me were being served their coffee whilst I was still waiting.

At this point I gave up and found another cafe, which was more busy than this one, that served me within 5 minutes.

Is it because I’m foreign or don’t speak Polish? I don’t know. Because I can’t ever remember being singled out like this in my entire life.

Sadly disappointed with this place. I have bought some products online few years ago, and the place has great reputation around Europe, but the coffee we ordered was extremely water. I wanted my friend to try a nitro coffee for his first time, and it was not a nice experience for him: extremely watery. I don’t have any inconvenient to pay a high price for coffee, as long as the quality goes accordingly.

On the other hand, I don’t doubt of the quality of their coffee, and probably it was just a bad day. The place is very nice and the barista was very very kind, but with these issues …

I ordered hot chocolate and got matcha :) That didn’t make any less enjoyable as I got to have both (free of additional charge) tho matcha is not my taste. Place has a nice ambiance but sadly I was seated right next to a girl that spoke for the entire room to listen to her even tho I could not understand a single word. I suggested the workers to put a little sign on the tables as to people being mindful of shared spare.
