Frodo — Restaurant in Warsaw

We went into this place unexpectedly because the rain started and we were walking nearby and unfortunately it wasn’t the best choice at all. The guy who was our waiter, was the only waiter, also a bartender, and I won’t be surprised if he’s also a cook and an owner. He didn’t give us the menu, before we asked for it, and it was the last time we saw him. We had to come inside to the bar to order and after it we were waiting for almost an hour for our pizza and baked cheese. Besides us, there were only two tables. And when our food was finally served, he didn’t even provide plates, so we were eating pizza literally from napkins. I would understand this level of service if the prices there were lower than usually, but they’re average like in the biggest part of nice restaurants. And by the way, we were discussing that we wouldn’t leave tips(though we always do), and we were negatively surprised that tips were included in our bill, but we were only two.. also it was allowed to smoke there, though there’s no hoods or they didn’t work. Absolutely negative experience....

Food is good. However,

1. this is the only place where if you spend more than 100zl the owner charges you 10% in the bill. Yes, it is crazy, isn’t it? . I would understand if the charge came from more than 4 people in the table coz you would have more cutlery to wash, but it is not the case. You are penalizad if you leave more money in this place.
2. even though this charge is written in the menu, they charged me more than 10%. I spent 110zl and they charged me 15zl. 4 additional zlotys I don’t know where they came from. I wouldn’t come back.
3. there should be more options of beers...

I recently had lunch at Frodo, and it was a delightful experience. This cozy restaurant offers a fantastic menu of the day, including both a soup and a main dish at a very reasonable price.
