Loft — Restaurant in Warsaw

Never felt compelled to write a review before for a place. Not vegetarian friendly and really terrible attitude from the staff. Menu is tiny. Portions are small if you are not purchasing a burger, and even then my friends with burgers still felt they were small. They do not give tap water on request, unless you order an espresso.

We had a large group of us visit, they would not give a tap water to my friend despite him spending over 100PLN on a steak, while they gave one to me just spending 30 on a soup and espresso. The staff on this situation were extremely rude. We all got our dishes but our friend with the steak was still waiting, turns out the staff canceled his order because they perceived him asking for a tap water and complaining on not getting one as rude.

We ate there on June 18th. It was the first day of my first time, ever, in Warsaw. I was traveling with my son and hitting lots of tourist/historical places in town. We were both tired from walking all over, and we were getting hungry! We almost ate at one of the American fast food places, but I wanted Polish food--pierogi z mięsem and żurek! We came in and were glad that it was air conditioned. My son ordered a burger and fries, and I ordered pierogi z mięsem, with soft drinks. When the food finally arrived, we were not disappointed! Everything was great. The service was OK--not spectacular, but not bad in the least. I could tell our server was having a rough day, that day. I left her a generous tip. I would not hesitate to eat at Loft on my next trip to Warsaw -- whenever...

Six weary Brits on the way to the airport with a couple of hours to spare and in need of some lunch. This place has a contemporary yet warm feeling to it with attentive and friendly waiting staff. English is spoken here so it's good for the traveller with limited or no Polish. Other patrons were all locals and that's a good indication of somewhere good to go when travelling. The menu offers traditional Polish fare as well as modern cuisine, offering something for most people. It's not a place for a quick 20 minute bite but the food was with us in good time, well presented and with good feedback all round.
