Avoid, avoid. Avoid. Bad food, bad service. Nice restaurant decor. So this was completely terrible. I would recommend all to avoid. I arrived at the restaurant and sat down with my friends. It had a nice atmosphere and the staff seemed kind. Then we ordered, they had a good selection of burgers. For some reason most of the steaks were sold out but that’s fine.
Then the problems started. We ordered two burgers. Then waited. Other customers entered the establishment and ordered and ate burgers while we waited for ours. The wait was extremely long and we were not provided with a reason? I don’t really understand why we were discriminated against. We were a group of tourists.
We had to ask for our food three times, each time they said it was coming and the wait got longer.
Then the food came and it was quite bad. The pickle was soaked in vinegar? This ruined the taste of the burger in my opinion. The meat felt like good quality and I did like that. But the rest of the burger was either vinegar and disgusting or plain and unseasoned. I tried one of their best sellers.
They did realise that we waited long and offered us one slice of cheesecake to share between 4 people. We did not ask for any free food or discount. Honestly the food was quite bad so I didn’t have a bite of this cheesecake but also we still don’t know why there was this discrimination with our table. They did offer us a pretzel and that was really good. But it doesn’t beat the really long time with no reason?
If you want a good burger, maybe try Szum or...
Read moreSunday 11th of September , we managed to secure a table and were really excited for our first visit at NINEs to watch the volleyballs world championships finals. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. During our stay we ordered some drinks and food. Drinks arrived promptly, so far so good. Things took a turn when the food arrived, the burgers alone were average at best, they came with a side of fries, sauce and some salad. Sauce and fries, no issues here. Now the salad, the side that ruined the night for us. Mine tasted very oddly it seemed to be red cabbage and mayo but that certainly was not the case. I decided to let it go, at which point my friend shows me his pot of salad with a live MAGGOT wondering about inside of it! We immediately stopped eating our food and called for staff. The lady dealt promptly with our issue expressed the manager’s apologies and emptied our bill. Nevertheless we were unable to continue our stay, didn’t even finish the drinks and heavily disappointed walked out. To sum up, great set up with plenty of monitors it certainly makes a great sports bar with well mannered staff, if you’re looking to grab some food, I’d be careful price to quality ratio is average and you might receive ‘more’ than you ordered. Unfortunately due to this it’s a 1 star rating...
Read moreI had a decent experience at Nines bar. The interior is very modern and clean with plenty of TVs dotted around the bar. It’s definitely a more premium sports bar and I think it looks great inside. You pay the premium here though, the prices aren’t really expensive but a noticeable difference in comparison to other sports bars in the city. I got a burger that tasted and looked great, no real complaints there. The only downside was the service, it wasn’t terrible but I was made to feel like I was being a problem when I asked for them to display another game of football on one of the TVs. We went here expecting multiple games to be shown, especially on a champions league night however they were only showing one. Eventually we did get one of the other games on but got told only that one because the TVs are linked and have to the display same game. I believe this could be true but two TVs that were apparently linked were showing two different games therefore proving that logic false. In conclusion great place for the football but they should try to accommodate customers a little more and attempt to help them if possible in what they want to watch. (I have to add it wasn’t really busy and the TVs we asked to change were only our sight and no...
