My friends and I selected this restaurant as we noted while we were strolling around Warsaw Old Town, that this restaurant had a long queue of people waiting to be seated and we thought this must be really good. So we tried the next day to have dinner with friends. I chose stuffed Gnocchi with truffle paste and it was good, though i feel like something is lacking, not sure. The menu has a lot of options to choose from and my friends ordered the risotto with shrimp, risotto with mushrooms, seafood pasta and another one i forgot the name. All of them had the some comment, “not bad, but not the best”. It seems that there was something lacking? The atmosphere was unquestionably really nice and cozy. What surprised us a bit was that in the menu, they will ask for 10% service charge if the table had 6 or more guests, which was applicable to us, so we did not question it much but when we received the bill, the waiter asked if we can give the 10% in cash to him but unfortunately we do not bring cash anymore so we said we have to pay by card and he asked if we can give 15% instead. To avoid arguing and we wanted to leave soon, we just said yes but i dont think that is normal. At least we had that...
Read moreI am giving 1 star for one aspect only. I think it is important that potential customers know their health code regarding allowing dogs indoors in the dining area. I went there for dinner on the 28th June 2023 and I was happy to receive a table although I understood from other customers queuing that you usually need to book a table as it is very sought. I was alone, so I was lucky to receive a table inside. Unfortunately, after a couple of minutes, customers with two big dogs (labrador-type, médium-length hair) were sat at a table inside. Air conditioning was on and, needless to say, for hygene and basic rules of health matters, that cannot be accepted. In Italy and many other countries, it is not accepted to have animals indoors where people are eating. I asked a waitress if they are really allowing dogs where people have their plates on their tables and eating and dog hair can float around. She answered yes with a smile. I stood up and left. I am here on business, as an invited professor at...
Read moreToday we were unpleasantly surprised by the service (our first visit of this place): at the entrance there were several waiters, guys, who were talking to each other, and when we entered and looked around in search of a table, one of them turned to us and asked "How can I help you?" (a strange question, obviously, we were looking for a table), and then nodded in the direction of one of the free ones saying with can choose any. In general, we noticed that some waiters were quite friendly, some were indifferent, they wanted to quickly finish the conversation and run away. About the food: the price for pasta was quite high (after all, this is the Old Town). Carbonara was not bad, but in the city you can find something tastier and the portion will be larger for less. Tagliatelle with Parma ham was tasty, the portion was sufficient. If it were not for the particularly friendly service, we...
