SZUM — Restaurant in Warsaw

I can definitely say that I CAN’T recommend this restaurant to anyone, even to an enemy…1 year ago, this restaurant had a different menu, and maybe a different chef because all the food was tasty! This time we have visited this restaurant with a whole family. We celebrated my mother's birthday.

We ordered the chef's salad with shrimp, which turned out to be completely not edible! the sauce was very oversalted and it felt like spoiled food We ordered two pizzas, the name I can't remember, anyway, one was plus or minus edible, but also oversalted, and the other was generally terrible, I'll leave the photos below. We ordered white wine for everyone, it was from elite brands. The waiter poured from the bottle, but the taste did not match at all because it was indicated on the bottle, giving the impression that some kind of fake was slipped in…:( We were very impressed by the aggressive and rude behavior of the waitress, especially when we asked to return the salad and asked what was happened with the wine… She reacted very aggressively and impolitely to our remarks about the quality and taste of the food! And what's more, she spoke disrespectfully and rudely to my mother, who tried to make comments about the quality of the food. It was totally inappropriate behaviour for restaurant service! I was surprised by my experience at the restaurant Szum, where I went for dinner with a friend. We were drawn in by their Instagram page, which featured some attractive dishes — that’s why we decided to go. But when we got there, we couldn’t find any of the dishes shown on their Instagram, even though I showed the post directly to the staff. They told us those items haven’t been available for quite a while.

What’s more surprising is that one of the dishes — salmon with asparagus — was featured in a story posted just 2 hours before we arrived. When I asked the waiter about it, he said the dish wasn’t available and that the photo was just for marketing to attract people for lunch. That felt quite manipulative. If you post something recently on Instagram, customers will naturally expect to be able to order it.

I even gave this place a second chance and went there again for a business lunch — but unfortunately, it was quite mediocre, maybe even below average. None of the dishes stood out. I had a tomato and burrata salad with not-so-fresh tomatoes and a bland soup.

Overall, I didn’t enjoy the experience and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant — neither for business lunches...

I am sorry for saying that but it was not a good experience. The staff was super friendly. But they had two groups in the same place and this was to much to handle for them. The apperativ's where good (some small pita, Shrimps ,tartare) Pizza was very good. But the main dish ribs to much fat and very very small piece of meat on ist. We try also fish that was also nothing special the Risotto was good. The waiting time was also very long. Like I say it was to much for the waiters it was planned not well. Again the waiters where super friendly. But I can recommend the Pizza. Sorry for the bad comment but that is what I experienced . But I will try it personally one...
