🚨 TOURIST TRAP ALERT 🚨
We thought we had found a beautiful Polish restaurant with delicious Polish food. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! In the case of this place, the proverb "DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" is absolutely true! Food quality does not correspond to its price. Price to quality ratio - DISASTER. Food is literally AWFUL 🤢 and it just gives the impression of excellent quality.. Nice looking dishes do not mean they will be of excellent quality. You can actually feel the cheapness of the ingredients. You can eat much better and cheaper anywhere else in Warsaw. In addition, later 2 from entire group - had DIARRHEA🥵. It looks like food poisoning because they had same dish. The service is slow. The pork chop was as thin as parchment covered in breadcrumbs, soggy and awful. My niece, during her internship in gastronomy, makes better pork chop than the ones served here lol. So that's the so called Schabowy by Magda Gessler🤡? LAUGHABLE. This woman is a FRAUD or a hypocrite who thinks her clients are idiots. As a footnote, you can buy a cup of horrible Warsaw tap water for 5 EUR. When we were leaving, in the cloakroom, my friend, as he was adjusting his shoelace saw RAT DROPPINGS on the floor. This sight was disgusting and made us understand what this place really was. We wanted to leave this place as soon as possible... I'm reporting the matter to the SANITARY INSPECTORATE!!! It was our first and last time here. I didn't expect that such a nice place from the outside could hide such HORRORS inside.
I don't know how this place has a rating of 3.8. In my opinion, it doesn't even deserve a rating of 3. The only explanation is fake positive comments.
EDIT: Later I found out that this PLACE is known for adding fake positive comments about itself. Shame and disgrace! It turns out that this is the well known infamous Warsaw TOURIST TRAP and calling that place restaurant is BIG MISTAKE.
BEWARE: This horrible place for real comments exposing real, awful quality and hopelessness of this place will lie and try convince you that they don't belong to this place. Do not be fooled and avoid this place from afar!
We Poles, as well as the residents of the area around this shameful place, know that this is a tourist trap and we are trying to warn you. DON'T GET FOOLED BY FAKE POSITIVE COMMENTS. Pay attention to the number of likes of negative comments - this is how Poles want to show you...
Read moreU Fukiera was a surprisingly delicious restaurant in Warsaw. I say suprising because, in my experience in most European capitols or tourist regions, when a restaurant is situated in a tourist focused city center they tend to have less than ideal food. I can say that many of the spots in the square had that vibe to me. But U Fukiera had absolutely delicious traditional Polish food, at a reasonable price. The portions were absolutely insane, even for an American like myself. We tried the dumplings (I believe pierogis, but in english on the menu dumplings), tartare, pork, duck, lamb shank, tripe soup, Polish Sour Rye Soup. Everything was very well seasoned, which I can say was a welcomed surprise to me. I was nervous having more traditional Polish food in Poland, as it can end up getting one note after a while, but the flavors where strong. Our server was very attentive and extremely nice. I wish I remembered her name, as I would love to give her a shout out here. I saw some other reviews knocking the place on it's service, which I believe is just a culture shock that Americans feel in Europe, as service in many European Countries is less attentive than in America. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with this, as long as you are able to grab the waiter or waitress when needed. They gladly boxed our food up, which was also very welcomed and respectful of them. Cocktails where great. Overall, strong find, and would highly recommend trying...
Read moreWe were not impressed with this former Michelin star restaurant. My daughter and I came here for dinner because they had previously received a Michelin star and I was here before a few years ago and enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, it appears that they are living off of the reputation of once having achieved a Michelin star and are now cruising on that reputation with minimal effort as a tourist trap. They really let themselves go…
The service was bad. The server failed to replenish our waters, finished plates were not removed from out table and just accumulated at the table as new dishes were brought out.
The food was disappointing taste wise. The presentation was decent, but the taste and quality were just not there for what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Also, the staff was moving tables and chairs and rearranging the layout in the restaurant as we and other guests were eating. This totally destroyed the atmosphere.
The interior is pretty and unusual, but that is not why people go to a Michelin star restaurant. We were very disappointed and honestly felt scammed. There are a lot of good restaurants in that square, so I would encourage people not to get distracted by the fact that U Fukiera once received a Michelin star, and go and try some new place that actually cares and is not operating on easy mode off of...
