Central Cafe — Restaurant in Wrocław

I cannot agree with all the 5-stars reviews. We have been here for Sunday brunch. The choice of bagels was very poor, but this is ok for Sunday. The bagels themselves were SOOO small! And for this price we've expected something amazing, but they weren't. Average. We were surprised that the bagel with red pesto was made of... sunflower seeds! And for this price, really? We also ordered capuccino, it was strong, not great and also very expensive. 14 pln for large cup of average capuccino which wasn't large at all. But the worst dish was the "apple pie". The worst in my life. Absolutely no flavour, the apple part was made with so much flour (or starch) that it was like glue. And the pudding topping was the pure 1:1 flour and sugar. Disgusting. I had really high hopes for Central cafe, but I was disappointed with everything they choose to do.

The bacon served here is pretty sad. Poorly cooked (floppy, fatty, chewy) , carelessly placed, and ugly.

The pancakes had a decent texture but they were drowned in a maple syrup that tasted like it was fake. The syrup is either fake, watered down, or of terrible quality.

Bagels also had decent texture but the recipes lack flavor entirely. Turkey doesn't have to be a flavorless beige cube, for instance, and the very thin layer of lox on the bagel was camouflaged by a large pile of lettuce of all things.

At the end of the day, central cafe either doesn't know how to properly prepare a lot of these dishes, or they are just too lazy to care.

Extremely helpful staff, who realised I was a tourist and didn't have a bloody clue of what to order and eat. The lady at the counter spent 5 mins with me to understand my taste buds, what kind of culinary experience I was looking for, and then recommended to me their best matches.

Boy, was I delighted ??? More than what I had thought of. The sausage and fried eggs were fabulously done, the mini salad and tomatoes with sesame were seasoned nicely with light dressing.
