Poko Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Wrocław

A very nice place, one of my favorites if not the favorite in Wroclaw. Great coffee, which is an exception around here, delicious baked goods. beautiful simple interior, huge open doors/windows, great location and view. I personally love sitting outside at one of the 2 tables with a view on the university library, away from the noise and crowds of the market square, watching the cars and people pass by. The only thing that turns me off is a strange concept where the coffee gets delivered to the table but you have to get the rest of the your order yourself. So if you order a coffee , an ice cream and a muffin for example, you have to get up twice from your table and go to pick up the stuff you ordered from the counter and then in about 5 minutes you get your coffee delivered to the table. I’d love to hear a logical explanation for such way of serving the customers or to ask the owners to change that to be able to come back here over and over again and enjoy your coffee...

Small place with selection of croissants, because of the size the smell of cigarettes from the street is overwhelming . Super nice sales clerk, the girl was lovely. Croissants were decent, nothing wow but tasty, probably similar to croissants from other places we have tried in wroclow but far more pricy. However; the focaccia we have got along with croissants was disgusting. Tasted like it was staled! toppings were OK although cheese quality seems kinda cheap compared to salami but the base was like old and not tasty at all, same issue with napoleon cake. White layer of cream was super sour like it was long past expiration date. For croissants we give 4/5 but because the rest was probably old(??) and disgusting it's sadly 1/5 and should be even 0. We don't know if it's due weather but it's terrible to serve stale food! Especially cakes are in fridge so weather it's no excuse to...

Lets start with the good: They open at 07:00 during weekdays, and when you are so dependent on coffee like me it is a life saver. The bad: Most of the rest. Croissant mostly made of air and some chocolate. 13zl?... go buy at Pan Precel and feel you got more. Coffee - i took small late. Size is oj for small, but glass without a holder... When coffee is hot you cant hold it!! Last thing, there is one opening to the place so ventilation is not the best and when someone smokes at the entrance you feel he is...
