Georgian cuisine is something I don't skip during my travels. This place is perhaps one of the best places I've been to.
First of all, if you go here, make sure you book a table, otherwise you can end up at the reading table that is not comfortable at all. The chairs are though.
The highlight of the dining were the fried Khinkali. Most likely a couple of places do it, but for me it was the first time trying fried khinkali. Downside - too much fat, but it's not that crucial, they still taste amazing.
Khinkali were great too, can't really say much. It's hard to make bad khinkali.
Mchliani that we ordered were with spinach and cheese. Were delicious and the dough was so soft, it would most likely be perfect to melt in your mouth (in a good way).
Pork shashlik was delicious, served with a salad, bread, and potatoes. The sauce was okay, but we preferred adjika that we ordered separately. Adjika was spicy enough to enjoy it.
Lastly, a rose wine - great choice that we could have enjoyed with this order. The service is outstanding. They can speak Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian, at least based on my observations. The restaurant itself is small but cozy. Loved the interior.
Overall, if you want a new experience, or just love Georgian cuisine - this is a must...
Read moreI would like to provide a review of this place, as I particularly enjoy Georgian cuisine, especially Khinkali.
Starting with the menu, the food choices are diverse, although the appetizer selection is limited. The salads are fresh and appetizing. In terms of soups, they offer both Kharcho and Çığırtma, the latter being of Azerbaijani origin.
My partner and I frequent this place primarily for the Khinkali, which is made exclusively with beef, unlike other Georgian restaurants that may mix pork and beef. The Khinkali here is delicious and filled with savory juices.
The wine selection is also commendable, with the white wine, Tsindali, being especially enjoyable.
The service provided by the waitstaff is generally OK, although there have been instances of rudeness, which I have personally experienced.
The ambiance lacks a Georgian feel, from the interior design and music to the uniforms of the waitstaff, who themselves aren't Georgian. The only Georgian elements seem to be the restaurant's name (U Gruzina - At Georgia's) and the map displayed above the cash register. Furthermore, the website lacks an English option, although the menu in the restaurant is available in...
Read moreI would like to write about the food, but we weren’t able to try it. 25.07.2025 evening. The service was disgusting, if it were possible to give it less than 1, I would. They forgot about our order! When, after almost an hour, my husband asked how much longer we would have to wait, the waiter went to check and returned with a jug of water and glasses, said that another 10-15 minutes, since some machine had chewed up our order. What?! Why can't you admit that you forgot it give it to the kitchen or the kitchen forgot about it. Thank you for the fact that for almost an hour we looked at people who came later, and received their food after 15 minutes. At the same time, the waiter and 2 waitresses walked back and forth, I looked at them, they looked at me and they weren’t embarrassed that we had been sitting at an empty table for so long! Owners, think about it. And for sure we would never...
