A beautiful location and friendly staff, but significant service lapses for a Michelin-recommended spot.

Visited onJuly 15, 2025. We didn’t have a reservation, but were quickly seated by welcoming staff. The restaurant itself is charming and atmospheric, located right on Ostrów Tumski — you really feel the history and beauty of Wrocław here. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed: First, we had issues with wobbly tables at two different spots. Staff tried to fix them, but the first attempt didn’t work, and the second table had to be cleaned after we pointed out leftover sauce. Food was nicely presented and tasty — both the starters and main courses were enjoyable and looked great. The real letdown came when we found a small piece of plastic inside one of the main courses. Staff took it to the kitchen but never gave us any follow-up or explanation. As an apology, we were offered a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated.

Unfortunately, my mother-in-law experienced symptoms similar to food poisoning later that night, and considering her previous meal was many hours before our dinner at the restaurant, we suspect it may have been related to the food served there. This is worrying, especially alongside finding a piece of plastic in one of our dishes.

I expected more from a place mentioned in the MICHELIN Guide. It’s a nice spot with potential, but they need to improve quality control and attention to detail.

Would I go back?...

We were there for our last night in Wrocław, a short trip me and my boyfriend had planned for a while. We had reserved a table and were seated immediately. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, so making a reservation seems to be a good idea. The menu was a perfect size. They also offered a variety of cocktails. We had the Sour and Spicy and it was excellent. The food was not only delicious but also arranged beautifully. We enjoyed it a lot. The best about our evening however was our waitress. She made us feel so welcome and checked on us regularly. She was absolutely lovely! Although we unfortunately didn’t ask her name to leave a personal thanks, she made our experience truly special and we hope this gets passed on to her. A little disappointing. Firstly, the English menu on the website was completely different to the menu when I visited in July, both in terms of the food and prices. Not a big deal but be aware of it.

The service was fine - standard. The dining room is nice and intimate but the pop/techno music pumped in wasn’t. Cheap paper napkins instead of proper ones.

The main courses were good (Steak and Beef Brisket) as you would expect for the price. The desert (just normal Basque Cheesecake, not Pistachio Basque Cheesecake as on the website menu) was disappointing - dry, and just sad, plonked on a plate with some sugar dusting - no sauce. This just seemed lazy on the part of the kitchen.
