Don't go there.

Started nice , we had a table as soon as we arrived. Then it went downhill. They didn’t give us a menu, sent us upstairs to choose our fish. No price ever mentioned . Still ok as I speak Portuguese and could read the menu in the blackboard behind the counter .

We chose squid salad as a starter but to our surprise they serve them without cleaning all the inner bits which surprised me . I even asked the waiter if they eat the insides in Portugal but he confirmed to me that obviously not as that had to be cleaned. So why they serve like that is out of my mind. That is pretty much the fish poo.

The bread that came as couvert wasn’t fresh, my husband had dover sole and it was tasteless with its boiled vegetables. I had clams that were ok, if you don't expect anything about the sauce which was very watery and no taste.

My opinion is , over priced meal that is not worth at all. Even if it was half the price I would not go back .

Save your time , the terrace is cute but it’s dated, the music is old fashioned. It was a disappointment, they stopped in time.

My girlfriend and I were in this restaurant in the month of September and we had a negative experience of visiting this restaurant. Firstly, the waiter (he has been working here for almost 20 years), who served us, did not behave correctly. Having told us a compliment, he touched my face and it was extremely unpleasant for me. Secondly, we ordered a glass of wine. The wine tasted very simple and cheap. When we had some wine left in our glasses, he poured us another wine without even asking our desire. We ordered squid and trout type fish (I don't remember the exact name). When they brought us the bill, it turned out to be 110 euros!!! This is for a portion of squid, 550 grams of fish, a small bottle of water and for some reason a bottle of wine was included for 18 euros. To my question, the waiter replied that four glasses of wine would be a bottle. But the most AMAZING thing was that our modest order was charged TWICE with interest: 7% and 23%. I would say this restaurant was my favourite from a 2 week stay in Albufeira. I went with my parents and my wife and we had a lovely table up on the top floor terrace near the BBQ where all the fish was being cooked. The menu is a little different in that you go to a fresh counter and pick your fish and pay by weight. They also have meat on offer but the emphasis is clearly on fish. The 4 of us had a whole sea bass done on the bbq and served with vegetables- thankfully the waiter also filleted it for us and took that hassle away, but honestly it was a pleasure watching too. The food was gorgeous! Add to that the lovely setting and view over the bay and this place has it all. The deserts seem to come in 2 varieties - mass produced frozen items and then the home made items. I went for the home made Tiramisu which was simply stunning. Everyone else had home made desserts and thoroughly enjoyed them. The staff were lovely and made sure we had an excellent time. I'd totally recommend this place if you like fish, they had tons to...
