I arrived at lunch to the options of the day... duck or cod.... I had Bread Olives Salad Duck and rice 2 jugs of wine (a bottle in volume) A beer The best bannoffee I ever had And a coffee... 20 euros.. If you want a posh restaurant... don't go and be annoyed... if you want friendly service and a proper experience where locals frequent... do it. This was the best lunch experience I've had for along as I can remember... The owners obviously know most diners so just sit back and enjoy the good food... don't expect to be the centre of attention... I think most people here have been coming several times a week for decades

The restaurant was recommended by a local, i.e. where locals eat. The location is outside of the center. The food was good, but nothing groundbreaking. It is a lot cheaper compared to the restaurants in the city center. I had the special dish of the day - beans, rice and octopus. 3/5 The atmosphere was nice and the staff was polite.

Mi peor comida en Portugal. Es de los sitios que cuando entras y te dan la carta piensas “me he equivocado” Una pata de pulpo pequeñita, dura, con dos patatas enteras mal cocidas y dos ramilletes de brócoli 15€, 5 langostinos cocidos y después hechos al ajillo con cabezas para que abulten mas 10€ y un bacalao mal desalado ósea salado como perros (cuando le decimos que esta salado la respuesta fue “lo traen así” Cuando fuimos a pagar trae apuntado en un posavasos apuntado 47€ y al pedirla el desglose, se va y tarda un rato en traer el ticket, la doy la tarjeta y me dice la camarera que ha puesto pago en efectivo y se lo va a decir a la jefa, me quedo loca viendo a la camarera que se pone a recoger la cocina y la jefa a escribir tarjetas en una mesa y nos deja allí esperando, supongo que a ver si sacamos efectivo, casi nos vamos sin pagar. Se enfada por que no tengo dinero, supongo que su idea era guardarlo en el cajón Una experiencia muy desagradable

We had a lunch twice here whilst our holiday in Albufeira and the crew of this place will remain in our hearts. Super friendly and authentic local Portuguese family owned and run business. I love to see when people give their best at work and the waitresses (two Portuguese ladies) here gave their 200% in terms of being attentive, friendly and hospitable to the customers. They were especially helpful with our two kids and had a baby chair and everything there. The food was made with a lot of love and was very tasty (we had lamb, chicken, octopus, fish, beef). We rarely go twice to the same place when only staying for a few days in a city but we were very convinced, so that we checked in the second time here and probably would have come even a couple of times more, if it had been open during the Eastern. We went to two other places in the old town during our stay in Albufeira but both were much more mass tourist types of restaurants, which is probably true for the vast majority of the venues in the touristic core of the town. I recommend this place to everyone...
