Service without a smile! Food okay, tasty enough and portion size good for cost, but if you're expecting polite service in a timely manner, then go elsewhere
I understand there is essentially double the language barrier here of Chinese to Portuguese to English, but there was zero interaction, simply an inquisitive "yes?" when asking what we'd like to order. Ordering felt very hurried, like we were being pressurised to order as quick as possible and staff weren't very pleasant. Our main food dishes arrived 3/4 minutes before the accompanying rice, to the point we were concerned we weren't actually getting any sides. Some vegetables would have been nice in my main dish of Pineapple chicken which was exactly that, pineapple and chicken... although, I'm still not 100% sure that was actually chicken!! Table was cleared fairly quickly and we were clearly just another number, in and out as fast as possible for optimum turn over. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived but by the time we were leaving a large group of around 20 people had arrived and the restaurant was very noisy. Nice decor but not a great atmosphere. We'd been here before around 3/4 years ago but I honestly wouldn't return...
Read moreDisappointing takeaway. We ordered and spent €62 euros on the food. When the food arrived, the €10 euro ribs were served as a portion of 3 tiny ribs which is ridiculous. The prawn toast was soggy, which is a bit more understandable for them being transported, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering them. The salt and pepper chicken is seasoned okay but was really dry. We also ordered Wontons, which had absolutely no filling… We ordered chicken chow mein which was okay, and the egg fried rice was okay. The take-away was genuinely the most disappointing i’ve ever had, especially for the price of the dishes, the fact the restaurant had a 4 star rating does not follow through to their takeaway standards… The food is already not great but it is atrocious for the price. The food came and ruined my appetite. I would be upset if I got...
Read moreOur family eats a lot of Chinese food in Ireland and we didn't expect to find one in Portugal, so we set a night out to dine there. The first thing to point out is the service, waiters were great and the food was quick to order and serve. The food was amazing, I love prawn crackers but the ones there were FRESH so I ordered another portion and finished that too. My food was great, it was just as good as back home, and it would be my best dined out meal in Albufeira for my family trip. The only negative point which is case by case is that a family member ordered something they don't usually eat, and it didn't agree with them. The big positives was the places looks, service, food and the toilets, they were...
