Me and my fiancée went to the American Diner for our dinner.
On arrival, we were seated straight away by a very friendly waitress. She brought us the menu and we were able to order some milkshakes.
I had the strawberry cheesecake shake and my fiancée had the cookies and cream. They were fantastic. They were very creamy, but not overwhelmingly sweet.
We then ordered our mains. I ordered the Mexicana wrap which consisted of chicken, avocado, hot salsa, jalapeños, ranch sauce, and cheddar cheese. The wrap was perfect - it tasted fresh, and there was plenty of avocado. The jalapeños and salsa were definitely there, but the heat was somewhat tempered by the ranch and avocado.
The mains were deceptively presented. Initially I was concerned that I would not be satisfied having only had breakfast and skipped lunch. However, I found my concerns were unfounded as the amount was perfect for a main course.
We moved onto desserts in which we shared a Rockie Chocolate Mountain. This was a beautifully presented dessert with a cookie placed in the glass. This was incredibly sweet and would have filled one person on its own. It was really tasted, but certainly need a sweet tooth!
Finally, we shared a cocktail. We had a Mudslide which was freshly and perfectly made. There was possibly a little too much ice for my liking, but it was still very creamy.
The waitress was very polite and attentive throughout the meal. The only small point was that we had to approach the bar for the bill. However, it was good that we were not being rushed and being able to pay in our own time was...
Read moreWhat a great place to eat. We have been to Albufeira 6 times and passed by this American Diner so many times so we decided to try it out, wow it is really a great place to eat. Inside it is designed like a retro American Diner with music from the correct era playing, what a nice touch. Even the girls working are dressed with correct attire. The decor is sound with posters, pictures and statues along with booth seating, sweet. Menu wise is great with plenty of items to choose from each cooked fresh right there to perfection, ample on the plate to fill even the hungriest diner to say I was full without dessert speaks volumes on how much was provided. The overall experience along with reasonable prices prompted us to return again for another meal on our last night, which again hit the spot. This is certainly a place we would recommend to anyone who likes tasty food with retro style, well done guys great service, cost and tastiness all round 😀 see you all again when...
Read moreMe and my family came to this American Diner to eat food. As we looked through the menu, we decided to get 2 12' inch pizzas and a family bucket, which in total cost around costed 56 euros. When it had came out, the size of the pizza were tremendously small. The pizzas were the size of a small plate and the family bucket was horrifyingly small, with only having four chicken wings, four minature cheesebites and two or three onion rings. This is not what we expected and had not reached the expectations. It is a shame because the restuarant was filled with beautiful statues of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe and the...
