Uzonj — Restaurant in Albufeira

We had dinner in Uzonj twice and I am torned. On a good note for food piri piri chicken was ok, grilled sea bass and chicken with mushroom sauce also ok, nice chips. Soup with added salt and extra pepper quite average but also not the worst, same for salad and brownie. Now to the bad potatoes were horrible, watery mush under the skin, awful flavor not edible! Pork chops a bit hard not lot of flavour. Creme brulee flavourless, sicky consistency. Pumpkin strudel undercooked, hard and tasted just bad. The only good thing on dessert menu were ice cream. But the worst was actually the overall experience. Pretty nice tall girl and girl with long dark hair,very attentive.That's a nice part than just very weird atmosphere.Same as other comments on not beeing served 1st despite getting same food as tables after us. What wonders me is everybody got nicely wrapped spoon for dessert and we got spoons put on a table without any napkin (just us I watched😐) tought it was just in rush. Coming from the greater New York area and being a seasoned world traveler, I have never been insulted by a restaurant manager.... ever. The food was generally just Ok... certainly not outstanding, as was by reported by Google. My husband ordered the bacalau, which we've had before, and is indeed a typically salty dish, but this was way over the top heavy handed. We told the waiter, but instead of making a customer happy and making good, the manager dug in his heels and insulted us. Whether he agreed with us or not, customer service was not his priority. Not only did we not stay for coffee, dessert and after dinner drinks, but I felt it my duty to write my first EVER negative review anywhere! There are SO many wonderful restaurants to choose from in this area of Albufeira, do NOT waste your time or money here. As it was we dropped over 90 Euro. I was with a group of 6. Their meals were lovely. However my meal came with a salad, no mention of dressing and when it came with balsamic vinegar, I asked for the salad to be replaced. After about 10 minutes a new plate arrived. The chicken was cold and again after about 5-10 minutes replaced. Chicken and sauce was again cold. Advised them no longer wanted to eat as the rest of my party had nearly finished. When the waiter took the second plate away, I could see the Chef getting angry. I walked up to him and he said the chicken was hot and nothing wrong with it. I suggested he try it. It wasn't even luke warm it was cold. He refused. After another 5-10 minutes another plate was brought to me despite me asking for no meal and it to be taken off the bill. We then had to wait ages for the bill.
