Tasca do Camões is one of Angra’s newest finds — and honestly, it’s the kind of place I’d always hoped to find here. After many visits to this beautiful island, it’s great to finally have a spot like this. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, sharing a few bites, or looking for a late-night drink, this place hits the mark. The kitchen stays open until midnight, and drinks are served until 2 AM — perfect for those unforgettable island nights.

The patio has probably the best view in Angra. Day or night, it’s always the right time to be here. Plus, staff speaks several languages making the experience even more welcoming.

The espetadinhas (skewers) are a standout — juicy, packed with flavor, and beautifully served. There’s something for every taste. Calamari are my personal favorite! The cocktails are delicious, creative and well-balanced. I must say the mocktails were the surprise hit for me — definitely worth trying.

The view, the food, the people — Tasca do Camões nails it. A real island gem I’ll keep...

Went for lunch today. The place is a bit kitschy but it might be perfect for the younguns. Of those, there were a few too many... Not the place to go for a quiet sit down meal. The portions were very generous but it was a bit pricier than other, comparable restaurants on the island. We had the Alcatra (10,50), pork ribs (12,50) and a few Cracas (. 60 each). The Alcatra was nice and the Cracas were delicious! The service was fast and good overall. Their lights went out for a portion of our meal, which would be okay if they had apologized or comped a portion of the meal but they did neither. PS. Good selection of...

The menu is clever and the view is great. Most of the food was good, but we didn't expect the green salad to be sweet. Even less we expected the fried calamary to be sweet. Let's assume it was us having hard time to adapt to some nuances of Azores cuisine. It would be good to have this highlighted in the menu. What I really didn't like is that it took about an hour to get the first dish on the table! It took another 30+ min to get the rest of the food we have ordered. And at the end it took about 30 min to ask for the bill!!! The staff communicated well, but there is a LOT of space for...
