BELLA RIA — Restaurant in Aveiro

It was a big surprise to find this place in the touristy center of Aveiro! We were late for a regular Portuguese lunch time and were looking for a budget option. This cafe in the shopping center offers simple cheap meals. Who could believe that for 5€ one can get a "menu do dia" that includes soup, main dish (two options), drink, desert and a coffee. I had a Roasted chicken thigh which came with rice and salad and mousse de chocolate for desert. My partner chose Prego no prato (pork)...

Voilà un petit resto qui mérite un peu de reconnaissance. Il ne paye pas de mine mais les plats sont supers. Petite soupe maison, plats garnis, desserts, une boisson et un café. Le tout pour 5€, 6€ ou 8€. L’accueil est très sympa, le menu en plusieurs langues, le patron est très certainement français, la serveuse cool, la vue sur la canal et les gondoles locales qui passent, quoi demandé de plus ? Ah, oui, l’addition s'il vous plait !

This is a small restaurant that deserves some recognition. It doesn't look like much, but the dishes are great. Small homemade soup, side dishes, desserts, a drink and a coffee. All for 5€, 6€ or 8€.
