Pastelaria Veneza — Restaurant in Aveiro

The way staff treats English speaking tourists in this place is unbeleivable! There are three waitresses working here. The older ladies are relly nice but the younger one is openly rude to English-speaking people. I asked her for Wi-Fi password she murmured something in Portuguese and when I told her I do not speak Portuguese and asked her to write the password down for me, she literally just swished her hand in front of my face and rushed away. And the cafe is located in the most touristic part of Aveiro. Moreover, there is quite big university in the town, which welcomes international students and it is very problematic and disrespectful to ecxlude non-portuguese speaking part of society (tourists, students...) so openly and roughly. Tiny local pastry shop. The couple pastries I tried (including the local specialty "ovos moles") were average. That could have just been poor selection, but as they don't speak English and the service wasn't especially friendly I wouldn't recommend it to...

É aqui que você comprará seus Ovos Moles. Apesar da série de reviews mediados, eu recomendo muito. Com propriedade de quem experimentou Ovos Moles em outros dois lugares "turísticos" (uma vez na praça com uma fila enorme e outra na Av. Domingos Carrancho), o que encontrei aqui não deixa absolutamente nada a desejar. Os Ovos Moles tem uma textura firme, sedosa, linda e brilhante. O sabor é muito equilibrado, bem menos doce do que os outros e nada enjoativo. Come-se sem preocupações. Obvio que eles tem muito mais a oferecer além dos Ovos Moles. Pasteis de Nata por exemplo, além de todos os outros doces conventuais e delicias a base de ovo. E o preço. A o preço. Simplesmente a metade dos outros locais.
