We had Eel stew. It says the portion is for 2 but it’s more like for at least 3 people. The eel was melt-in-your-mouth and the stew gravy was very flavourful. (We wanted to order the seafood rice but it states on the menu that it’s for 3 pax - we should have asked if they are able to half the portion as we saw a regular customer receiving a much smaller pot of the rice. Not sure.) Chef Costa and the staff were so welcoming and humorous and made this short visit truly memorable. Chef couldn’t speak English but made an effort to interact with us and took a photo with us too :) No wonder there is a steady stream of people coming in. Really terrible food. We trusted the good reviews and chose this one. The service was nice. But except this…the food was terrible. We ordered a seafood rice. We saw that the price was high…but why not! If the food is excellent. The waiter came with a pot with a lobster! Wow it looked amazing! However the lobster was cold. It was clear that it was added to a rice mixed with commercial fish soup and frozen mussels. It was prepared since it arrived really fast. The taste is kind of disgusting. The kind of food served in school restaurant. Really the worst seafood rice that one can imagine and we paid a lot for that! ( as you can see in the photos there is no shell for mussels and the texture is commercial...

Muito bom! We were lucky that we arrived a little before 1300 and were able to snag a table without a reservation. Make one if you can as you may need it. But dare to try if you just arrived in town. If they have a table it will be worth it.

We had grilled fish which came with a warm cabbage salad and rice with shrimp and muscles. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked and not over spiced. The cabbage was tasty. The rice was creamy and it all paired so well with the dry white wine we chose.
