We had Eel stew. It says the portion is for 2 but it’s more like for at least 3 people. The eel was melt-in-your-mouth and the stew gravy was very flavourful. (We wanted to order the seafood rice but it states on the menu that it’s for 3 pax - we should have asked if they are able to half the portion as we saw a regular customer receiving a much smaller pot of the rice. Not sure.) Chef Costa and the staff were so welcoming and humorous and made this short visit truly memorable. Chef couldn’t speak English but made an effort to interact with us and took a photo with us too :) No wonder there is a steady stream of people coming in. Food was top notch and service was fantastic. Please do make a reservation in advance as they are quite full in the evening.

Really terrible food. We trusted the good reviews and chose this one. The service was nice. But except this…the food was terrible. We ordered a seafood rice. We saw that the price was high…but why not! If the food is excellent. The waiter came with a pot with a lobster! Wow it looked amazing! However the lobster was cold. It was clear that it was added to a rice mixed with commercial fish soup and frozen mussels. It was prepared since it arrived really fast. The taste is kind of disgusting. The kind of food served in school restaurant. Really the worst seafood rice that one can imagine and we paid a lot for that! ( as you can see in the photos there is no shell for mussels and the texture is commercial fish soup kind)

Impresionante! Hemos ido a comer un grupo de 8 personas, y la verdad que hemos salido de allí encantados. Destacar prácticamente todo!, servicio de camareros impecable, en el que cabe destacar el trato y la amabilidad en todo momento. La comida exquisita, tanto el arroz caldoso con bogavante, como la mariscada y los postres... Todo buenísimo. Y aunque allí mismo hemos felicitado a la cocinera por lo rico, por la presentación, y bien cocinado que estaba todo,... no quiero dejar de hacerlo también por aquí, ya que creo que se lo merece de verdad con un 10. Hemos amenazado con volver a pesar de vivir en el norte de España... Y lo cumpliremos! Gracias Maré Cheia! Recomendado 100%👌 ------------------------------------------------------ Incrível! Fomos comer um grupo de 8 pessoas, e a verdade é que saímos de lá encantados. Destaque praticamente tudo!, serviço de garçom impecável, no qual vale destacar o atendimento e gentileza em todos os momentos. A comida requintada, tanto o arroz em caldo com lagosta, como a travessa de marisco e as sobremesas... Tudo muito bom. E embora ali mesmo tenhamos parabenizado a cozinheira pela delícia, pela apresentação, e como tudo estava bem cozido,... não quero deixar de fazer aqui também, pois acho que ela realmente merece com nota 10. Ameaçámos regressar apesar de vivermos no norte de Espanha... E vamos cumprir! Obrigado Maré Cheia! Recomendado 100%👌

This restaurant was raved about by many locals. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, we got the seafood platter for 2. Honestly nothing special, I personally only ate two things from it. Was it worth it? No. Maybe the fish would have been the better choice. The service was impeccable, very friendly and welcoming and because of that this restaurant gets the 4 stars. The food - 3 at best.

Food was delicious but ambiance prevents me from giving 5 stars: was too loud both the seating area and the kitchen and there were two TVs showing the news. We had mussels as starters that were marinated in white wine that was amazing. My favorite was the grilled squid but also had the seafood rice. Be warned, portions are big! Would definitely come back to try other diahes

Cannot say anything bad about this place. What a wonderful experience. This is what happens when you know someone that knows the most authentic places in a city! The quality of food was amazing, taste and texture danced, flavors flew. I cannot speak highly enough of this. The European eel dishes in two forms were amazing! For dessert try Nara do ceu, very sweet!
