Stopped over for lunch in Aveiro. Staff were very friendly and we got a table outside in the quaint pedestrian friendly streets outside. Ordered burrata starter which was great. My husband had the deep fried calzone which he loved and looked great and fluffy. It arrived way before my meal, in fact he was nearly done when my calzone arrived. The calzone was AWFUL. It arrived soggy, as if the air pocket had fallen down into the sauce on top and an attempt was made to cook it anyway or just put some more sauce over it. The dough was raw on top and still served to me. I informed the waitress and she tried to tell me that’s just how it is… I pushed back saying it’s not cooked properly. She disappeared back into the kitchen, about 10 minutes later the chef came out apologizing with the same calzone he had popped back into the oven. It was cooked a little more but still really soggy and in parts still raw. I really don’t like how this was handled, they didn’t make it right with me, waitress just apologized at the end when she could see I only ate the ingredients inside and didn’t check to see if I was satisfied or if there was anything she could do to make it right. We were charged full price. I don’t want to knock a small family establishment, and maybe the other food is better, but we came here because the place had great reviews and left utterly disappointed. Should have taken a picture of the calzone but I was just so disappointed I didn’t.

Hidden Gem in Aveiro 🇵🇹🍕 Tucked away on a charming side street in Aveiro, this cozy pizzeria is an absolute treasure. The pizza? Crisp, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. But what truly made the visit unforgettable was Mykola — a young server whose warmth, multilingual flair, and genuine passion for helping people elevated the entire experience. He’s not just serving tables; he’s building bridges. A must-visit for anyone craving more than just a great meal. 🌍❤️🍕 #AveiroEats #HiddenGem #TravelMoments PS: Unfortunately some bad characters around with similar menus are trying to defame them. Rather sad but don’t buy into the negative review.

This was the best pizza I behave had in years! We had the margharita, bufala and bolegnese pizzas along with an arugula and burrata salad. The salad was so fresh! Pizza crust was perfect. The owner came to chat with us. He even is a professor who teaches chefs around the world how to make a proper pizza! The service was wonderful as well. If you are in Aveiro, Portugal, you must visit!!! The pizza was so good , we forgot to take pictures!

From what I understood, they had recently changed locations, and it was at lunch time and they had a lot of people. We were told to have patience by a man, who I’m assuming is the owner… which we did.

It took about 25 minutes for someone to come and “write” our order. I ordered a pizza, my mother ordered the lasagna and my sister a bolognese pasta. My sister’s bolognese was the first thing to arrive, by mistake because they mistakenly took two bowls for the table next to us (they had only ordered one). After that, she ordered a tiramisu, which came after 10 minutes.

ONE HOUR LATER, we were brought my pizza and my mother’s lasagna (after repeatedly telling the waitress what we had ordered, because they couldn’t remember). Then, they brought my sister’s bolognese, completely forgetting that they had already served her the bolognese AND dessert.

One thing is to ask for patience, but this was borderline disrespectful.

To make matters even worse, the same man who asked us for patience, had the AUDACITY to give us a crap attitude for daring to complain about the very poor service they provided. I honestly can’t wait to read how he justifies this behavior later in the replies (which I know for a fact he will).

My recommendation: avoid this place AT ALL COST. You can get pizza and lasagna in many other restaurants in town.

—— After reading the justification I knew was coming, I would like to add the following: IF (and it’s a big if) the waitress never told us to sit down and it was such an “inappropriate attitude”, why did the man help us move the chairs?? IF we were so inappropriate, you could’ve asked us to stand up and wait, but that never happened.

What did happen was we asked if that table was available to which she answered “yes”, then the Italian man helped us moved the chairs (so we could sit), told us to be patient and then the waitress took out order. But I’m not surprised by the revisionist history and lack of accountability.

And yes, the other reviewer was my sister, and her review ALSO reflects the reality of the service we received at your restaurant today. We might’ve been unlucky, but it was what it was and blaming us won’t change that. But, you do you. Now more people can truly know what to expect from your place. Have the day you...

Logo a seguir, vem a suposta mulher do dono.

Desejo-vos o dobro do que me desejarem.

Agora a minha conta é falsa? 🤣 de rir

AHAHAHA A DONA É BRASILEIRA ELA DISSE QUE ERA DO CONTINENTE N PRECISO DE...
