Taberna Aveirense — Restaurant in Aveiro

The place is chaotic. The waiter is too busy joking around and talking to people as if he was hired for a circus. He even forgot to bring things we ordered, and when we asked for it, he blamed it on the other employees. But he was ok spending 10 minutes talking to a dude with a goatee beard.

Also, I am waiting over 30+ minutes for a dish that looks like it was leftovers from yesterday and recently came out from the microwave. Not a single piece of garnish or sauce for something so dry.

The men's toilet was also very dirty. Wet floor everywhere. You can clearly see that this place is nothing...

Unfortunately had a very bad experience here from the moment we sat down. We were all but forced to accept the cold appetizers then waited 15 minutes before asking for menus. Another 10 to get the orders taken, and ended up leaving after 1 person’s soup arrived. The others ordered dishes that would’ve been prepared in advance (risotto and a stew) but took more than 30 minutes to arrive. Had to call for attention many times and silverware provided had crusty dried food from previous diners on it. Lovely atmosphere outside but would...

It's been a long time since I had such a terrible service in Portugal. Had to wait for food for over 40 mins including soup that is obviously not cooked after ordering. Two tables that came much later than us were serviced in 15 mins while we were still waiting. Not even a simple 'sorry' when I rightfully complained.
