Absolutely loved this place. THIS is the place to go for TASTY sea food!! I promise you will definitely not be disappointed. First we started off with mussels Portuguese style (ask the waiter) with a little bit of lemon, soooo good!! We also got the seafood cataplana. Delicious and savory! It comes with fish, shrimp, mussels, and veggies! It’s for two, the price is definitely worth it!!! I believe the owner took care of us, and the waiters definitely made sure there was no plates in the way. If I ever get the chance to visit Portugal again, this will absolutely be first stop to eat!! The other seafood places I’ve gone to in Portugal have lacked flavor and are high in prices! My last stop since I leave tomorrow morning. And this place...

A group of friends and I only had a couple of hours to spare in Cascais, and wanted an authentic Portuguese restaurant with good sea food. Tasca da Vila certainly hit the mark. It's only a minute from some of the more popular (and sometimes touristy) restaurants, with tables inside and out. While we waited for our food, we were given complimentary bread, cheese and olives: a nice touch. We tried their Black Sausage with Pineapple, and Grilled Sausage to get things going, before moving onto several seafood dishes, including grilled sardines, house-style bacalao and grilled shrimp. All were delicious! Our waiter and the owner were friendly, helping us choose a good wine for the food we ordered. Overall, thoroughly...

Lunch time in Cascais is busy. It is a tourist destination and people all over are milling around. Eating places are plentiful and geared for the tourist. Walking around, the street sign in front of Tasca da Vila caught my eye with limited offer but sounded enticing. But it as full, so we went in search of another. Having not found space or something interesting we ventured back to Tasca. No regrets. Crowds thinned, service was prompt and friendly and food excellent. Price was decent and bellow our expectation for what we got-grilled cod, grilled octopus with smashed potatoes all covered in olive oil, Devine. And of course a bottle of Portuguese white wine. Miss the crowds, but don’t...

This restaurant makes great Portuguese styled seafood. They offer a variety of fish, shellfishes, and other kinds of meat. The food is delicious and the staff were very friendly. The food was prepared and served pretty fast. The cost was fair and pretty cheap in my opinion. I really enjoyed the codfish and sea bass. It comes in different styes and ways of cooking the fish. They also offer desserts (chocolate mousse, tiramisu) and tropical fruits. I suggest this restaurant to tourists who are visiting Portugal.
