First off, terrible service ex aequo with terrible food are the 2 main things to say. My friend ordered the half chicken, with was horrendous : dried, obviously re-heated as it looked like it had been prepared 6 hours in advance, greyish in colour, dry, bad. The fries were horrible as well: they had this rancid taste, like oil that hasn't been changed in 6 months. Also, the oil tasted like fish. I ordered some sort of fake Niçoise salad, in a very toned down cheap version, also prepared in advanced. The "scraps" of chicken in it were super cold and bad, mixed with tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and grated carrots. No onions, no taste. The dressing was bad as well, some sort of orange Kraft cheap tasting dressing. I had to add tons of salt and piri piri oil/sauce for it to have some sort of taste. The cut pieces of hard boiled eggs were grey (overboiled). The presentation was bad. The food was bad. But the WORST, the absolute WORST was this blasé, fed up, over it, bitter waiter !!!! OMG!!!! The way he looked at us when we only ordered water! We didnt want coffee nor dessert and he just rolled his eyes at us. When we were paying, I was trying to count how much change I had, and he got frustrated and rolled his eyes again and just grabbed the money mumbleling something like "its not complicated". I was a waitress for 10 yrs and I HAVE NEVER treated customers that way. This guy should retire. He treated us badly, he was rude and money hungry. Him and the food SUCKED. Worst place...

Busy restaurant on a busy tourist street. I was told before seated I could only pay cash, but I saw others paying with card so I paid extra attention to my bill. The waiter was kind of hovering, which I'm not used to in Portuguese restaurants Usually they let you linger and you have to flag them down for attention. Ordered the 1/2 roast chicken that came with fries and a half bottle of the house green wine. The chicken came out so fast I thought I was in a US drive thru. Pleasantly suprised though. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well. Good, made great with extra piri piri. The fries were just ok. The house wine (Arca Nova) was pretty tasty as far as house wines go. As I find all Portuguese dishes, the single portion is enough for two people. The value for the meal was reasonable (around 20€?) If I hadn't felt rushed or suspicious because of the cash only request I might have rated them higher.

as I'm typing this, they are aggressively cleaning the table beside me and swiping my leftovers away as if they need to prep for a presidential dinner. Taking away...

I have never been to a place with such an arrogant and rude employee. I entered the restaurant and asked for a place to sit. The answer the waiter gave me was do you have money? This is really a very disrespectful person. Then he said that the bank is not valid. I ask you for a place to sit and your employee asks if you have money, what kind of rudeness is this? I ate chicken, potatoes and drank coca cola with it. The potatoes were good but the chicken was very salty. The price is also really expensive and not worth the money. I paid 14.50 Euros for chicken, potatoes and Coca Cola. Moreover, I did not feel comfortable at all. The waiters were constantly waiting on me and I was not comfortable even when I was texting on the phone because they seemed to be constantly looking at what I was writing and I felt very uncomfortable. I really will not go again, not because the food was bad, but because one of your waiters was rude and I did not feel...

This restaurant has become a traditional spot for my family and I whenever we visit. We are Portuguese - so don’t be frightened away by the tourists, this is a spot loved by locals too. To start, the waiters always offer a plate of bread, butter, and cheese (queso fresca, which is a VERY mild, spreadable cheese - we like to add some salt ontop) The chicken is lovely - but the real reason we go are the prawns. We ALWAYS get them (€18 for one serving) - it is quite spenny, but well worth it, if you appreciate flavorful, rich food. Order a side of batatas frites (french fries), and use them to sop up the prawn juices :) Sangria is also a lovely side to the dish.
