It offered a blend of Chinese and Japanese cuisine, featuring a commendable sushi selection. It is an all you can eat buffet but it’s “made to order” so they deliver it to your table. I thought this was a good thing as food comes out fresh and hot but I was utterly dissatisfied and disappointed. We arrived at 6pm on the dot and we were the first table to arrive. The dinner buffet price was €14.90. I still don’t think it was worth it when there are plenty of these buffets around portugal offering better service and food quality.
The sushi was diverse, and a highlight of the meal. However, the hot menu fell short. The sizzling beef was overly salty and they didn’t serve it in a sizzling plate, and the duck, in particular, was so dry and tiny.
Service was a letdown; despite English-speaking staff, orders were delayed. They served us a bowl of rice for 15 mins with no main dish and when it came the rice was cold. A positive was the staff's proficiency in English, but overall, the experience was let down by salty dishes, dry duck, and inefficient service. I requested the bill while also asking for dessert. However, I had to ask three more times for the bill and then I had to go to the front counter to get my change even though the three waitresses were just standing there. Mind you they weren’t busy at this point and there were only 2 other tables that...
Read moreThe 4.0 star average is on point. Sushi is pretty good, even when compared to west-European all you can eat standards. Really big variety of sushi on the menu. Some very experimental sushi's like kiwi or strawberry sushi included. Also various (really good) sizzling hot plates included in the €13 per person price. Drinks are on the cheap side too, around €2 per non-alcoholic beverage. The service is not great, because it takes a while to get your food, and the orders are done by writing the dish numbers on a piece of paper (far too primitive when compared to ordering via tablet or via a special order list with little boxes to check for every dish). But the people that work there are very nice, and they will so their best to serve you well. Lastly, the restaurant is clean, but not fancy looking, at all. For the price, this is an 8/10 experience for me. Good food, acceptable...
Read moreHave enjoyed this place twice. The Buffet
There is a wide range of hot cooked dishes and the simple salad is a surprising winner
Staff are helpful as you would expect. You will need to pay either with cold hard cash, or a Portuguese credit/debit card
Cooked items take longer, so plan your orders accordingly. Ie don't order your fried rice straight away with your teriyaki chicken as the chicken will arrive later. You'll have cooler rice and a hot dish
The variety is very good, and you can download the digital menu
Some items on the buffet menu have an additional charge. So for these are justified. The Fried Ice-cream is fun and helps round the meal off nicely
Drinks - Aside from the standard array of Soft drinks, in the wine segments we have Red, White, Rose as well as Green wines. Green wines all...
