Kid-friendly, fun, exciting visit for our kid! It was SUPER educational, had local wildlife, interactive exhibits with a touch tank! I love visiting science museums like this with staff that are knowledgeable and super nice! They also print their own keychains for the gift shop and sell recycled bottle cap planters as well! My kid had a blast and so did us adults! I love that the touch tank contained local wildlife to teach not only about the animals, but also the environment. 10/10 would recommend if you have kids or just want to enjoy a cool science museum to explore and play for a few hours!

Such lovely staff, brilliant informative and interactive displays! Great value and a great way to learn about the local ecology. You can tell the staff really care. We were especially surprised how much was in English (we had our translate at the ready but didn't need it much) and how much the staff made an effort to speak English and even helped us correct our Portuguese (which definitely needs work!). Great mix of displays and even a touch pool where we got to hold a starfish and sea cucumber, well worth the money for both adult and child alike!!

This is a great small science museum that will primarily appeal young kids, but with enough novelty to interest adults. There is an interesting device that creates a live mini tornado from cold vapour - it's sensitive to how it is approached - too fast and your personal bow wave of air causes it to collapse. Bit like measuring an atomic particle - sometimes it's there then it's gone. There's a clockwork solar system that shows the relative speed of planets around the sun and a tide pool reconstruction mainly populated by spiny sea worms (?) - fun.

Lovely little science museum. The staff are extremely helpful and patient. They speak great English. My 3 year old son enjoyed his visit and we spent almost 90 minutes there but children slightly older might get a little more out of it. He loved holding the star fish. ⭐. There are little toilets in both men and women's bathrooms. There are lots of paid parking places nearby, but may be hard to find a place in August as there are so many people visiting.

Small but fun place, not only for children. You can touch sea cucumbers, anemonas, sea stars. You can check your weight on Mars, Jupiter and Moon. You can see the tornado forming, feel the earthquake, see each drop of water in the waterfall under strobe light. Do yourself a favor - go there.
