Better ice cream than other places (not the best), but really overpriced. I’d asked for 2 scopes, but really wanted to try a third flavour… they gave it to me (a tiny bit to try) and still charged me for 3 scopes, at €7.50! Read moreOla, We stayed for a couple of weeks next door at Residencial Chafariz. We were so happy to make Chafariz gelato & cafe our favourite place to visit everyday.
Hubby was happy to have his usual beer(Coral) and I was happy to have a few cocktails 🍹 (Gin and Tonic pink) yummy.
But most of all, I got to try every single flavoured ice cream 🍦 it was hard to choose? But a little recommendation from the helpful staff, everyday was a blessing. All the flavours were nice and very tasty.
I am going to miss this place and the wonderful ladies who do an amazing job everyday, thank you for your hospitality and for looking after us. Obrigado and we will see you again in the near future.

The flavour of the Gelato (my partner had stracciatella had loved it!) was wonderful, but the texture was incredible! The two ladies serving today were also absolutely lovely, and directed us to tables opposite and served others direct to table. If you’re in Madeira then you have to check...
