This. Place. Is. F-ing. Awful. We ordered the sliced olives and feta cheese (please see picture for reference)..... it was ehhh maybe 2 sliced olives and what they call a "drizzle" was a f-ing pool of olive oil. The bread, however, was pretty good. We also ordered a bottle of wine.. which the waiter then poured into our glasses... missing the glass and pouring wine down the glass. As far as the reviews prior calling the servers "gentle" and "careful" ... that is a lie.. I have never had so many dishes being slammed in my ear. Best italian food? Olive Garden is 5 stars compared to this place and I've been backpacking through Italy. I ordered the tuna pasta.. hubby ordered the tuscan chicken.. we both had to add piri piri oil and pepper in order to give it some flavor. The parmesan cheese was comparable to the fake powdered Kraft cheese you can buy in American grocery stores. Once again.. even Olive Garden has real cheese that they grate right in front of you. Ohhh and the fact that they were playing Top Chef inside by the bar was the icing on the cake. Overall the food and experience here was terrible. I recommend going to actual Old Town for a good restaurant and eat by one of the pretty...

The atmosphere was cozy yet refined, striking a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Soft lighting, tasteful décor, and gentle background music created a lovely ambiance for a relaxed dining experience.
Now, onto the food — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, both visually and in flavor. The starters were fresh and beautifully presented, but the highlight of the evening was the main course. I ordered the house special, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in years — perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked, and served piping hot. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
Even the dessert was unforgettable. Their signature cake was rich, moist, and had just the right level of sweetness. Paired with a perfectly brewed coffee, it was the ideal ending to an incredible meal.
Prices were reasonable considering the exceptional quality, and we left feeling satisfied and valued. This restaurant has earned a loyal customer, and I cannot wait to return. Highly...
Read moreWe came here after the restaurant was suggested to us who came here three years ago. It is still a brilliant Italian restaurant. We liked La Pasta so much, we even came a second time on our holiday!
The staff are very polite and efficient. If something needs to be done, they will get on and do it.
The food was delicious. Both times we came here, all our meals were perfect. The pizzas and pastas were customisable. The pizzas had no set recipes, just a list of ingredients which you could choose from. When one of us ordered a combination the waitress thought might not go well, she suggested an alternative which was lovely. The pastas also give you the option to choose a source and then a type of pasta, in a similar way to the pizzas. Everything was also very light on the wallet.
For desserts we had the chocolate mouse and the boa morte. Both of them were delicious. They appear to be home made, as they were slightly different on the two times we came, but were still amazing both times.
La Pasta was definitely my favourite restaurant in Funchal and would recommend it to...
