NOVO Plaza Buffet — Restaurant in Funchal

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting a sushi restaurant that truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in to the last bite I savored, the experience was flawless.

First, I'd like to highlight the excellent service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to ensure our experience was the best it could be. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, all fresh and delicious, but the highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the special dish we were served: an incredible temaki.

The temaki, which you can see in the photo below, was a masterpiece. Impressively, this temaki was not part of the standard buffet but was a special offering brought to our table by another staff member. The combination of fresh salmon, creamy avocado, and crisp lettuce, all delicately wrapped in high-quality nori, was simply perfect. The ingredients were so fresh they practically melted in your mouth, and the finishing touch of mayonnaise and sesame seeds brought a balance of flavors that elevated the dish to another level.

In addition to the wonderful food, the restaurant's ambiance also deserves praise. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal.

Well, well, well. What to say. The waitress was kind and respectful. That's unfortunately the only good thing about this place. We were CRAVING asian food, that was the sole reason we went here. In all honesty, we arrived a little late, but still a decent southern Europe dinner time. The fact that there was absolutely no other people there (while neighbouring restaurants were still busy) would've obviously contributed to the fact that all the food was dead cold and had been there for quite a while. We were disappointed but wanted to give them another chance. We asked if we could receive 2 small portions of fried rice but were forced to take the cold food and stood next to the cash register when the staff put our plates in the microwave. The last shock for us was when the staff carefully rearanged the warm sushi and presumably put in the fridge for the next day. Overall it didn't feel like they actually even wanted to TRY. If i could give no star i would do it! the food was not warm is was nearly cold and doesn't taste good. I normally love chinese Food, but this was the baddest i've ever had. We just wanted to eat good on my birthday but this was just a disapointment! They didn't hab homemade sauces, just Ketchup and Soja sauces from the Supermarket. For this i dont need to go to a Restaurant.The owners should really overthink if they better look for other Job or do the thing good and whith love.
