It's where the Madeirans eat, unpretentious a little like a canteen. No English spoken so I googled chicken and potatoes which is what I got. Should have also googled salad or vegetables! Service was quick and portion was enormous, three pieces of chicken and about a kilo of cubed potatoes fried with garlic. The price? 7 euros. If you go, and why wouldn't you, be prepared with some basic Portuguese words or look at the trays of prepared food and point! At the price you can't go wrong. The place was quite full and no-one thought it strange that a lone English man should walk in and order random food items.

Planeamos un mes antes nuestras vacaciones en Madeira y teníamos claro que no queríamos comer en sitios turísticos más bien en rest. donde come la gente local y con el Brasilia acertamos, muy barato, trato excelente, raciones abundantes y la comida sabrosa. Nos trataron muy bien, una de las cocineras habla español. Repetiremos por qué queremos probar el bacalao
