Interesting museum based on the collection and home of a lawyer who died in 1978.
Much of the house is late 1800s in style and is much more interesting than the lawyers collection. Nice House and great views. Very nice little garden downstairs too.
He didn't have an eye for paintings, had a tendency towards religious icons, little wooden boxes and chests and Toby jugs. There were some things of interest amongst the collection that said and I'm sure you would find your own treasure.

One of the lady attendants in the old house was informative and helpful, but the others gave the impression they were watching in case I stole something. As a result I didn't always feel at ease. Perhaps the museum has had a theft problem? When I asked how de Freitas had acquired such wealth, I was referred to the guidebook. He was, of course, a lawyer. Good if you like tiles, furniture and...
